Corey (DM):

Previously on Quest Happens. Ah, well, hello. My name is Krause, Devon Krause. Very nice to meet you.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, fancy.

Lauren (EZ):

What? Oh, that's unfortunate.

Corey (DM):

You see a grayish goblin, he's wearing a bowler hat, he's got a nice button up shirt, you see suspenders, you can only really see from the waist up from where he's sitting in the windowsill. Like he's got, he's wearing a monocle. Very clean and very dapper looking.

Nathan (Stump):

This guy sounds amazing. I think I'm going to really like this guy.

Nick (E'Louie):

What do you do for an occupation?

Corey (DM):

Oh, little of this, little that.

Corey (DM):

They call me the town handyman.

Nathan (Stump):

If Stump ever have kids, he going to make him godparent.

Corey (DM):

So as you go to pick up the note to look at it again, the note looks a little bit different. What?

Nathan (Stump):

It does?

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

As you hold up the notes, it's around the same size but on it it says you just got crouched. You make your way into this alley that you barely kind of noticed.

Nathan (Stump):

Ye. You guys seem to have such good balance.

Corey (DM):

Yes, well, that's part of our thing. We're trying to bring a new balance to this world.

Corey (DM):

So it's like about 6pm Tonight, we got the crews ready. We're going to hit right outside the walls. We're going to go for it.

Corey (DM):

We're going to just mow and mow and mow until they take us over. And the minute they're talking, you just see whoosh as those blankets are strewn upon. There they are. Officers. I read their note, I knew exactly.

Corey (DM):

Where they were going. And that's them. Get them.

Corey (DM):

Kraus. Divon Kraus.

Nick (E'Louie):

No.

Corey (DM):

Hello and welcome everyone to Quest Happens for another fun episode. Thank you to everyone who's been listening so far. If this is your first time, boy are you on the wrong episode.

You might want to go back a few and if you've listened to all the other ones before this welcome. Thank you for sticking it out with us. I am so excited to be here. I am Corey, I am your DM.

Corey (DM):

And I am joined by Nick Jackson, Nathan, Lauren Keller.

Corey (DM):

Y' all always sound so excited when you introduce yourselves. That's kind of a shtick.

Nathan (Stump):

Now that's what Cher does, right?

Nathan (Stump):

She goes cher.

Corey (DM):

Yes, she does. I guess now, I don't know. I've never heard when she's at Six.

Corey (DM):

Flags she's really just saying Cher. She's trying to get people to share.

Corey (DM):

But they're like, oh yeah, well maybe, maybe one day they'll have a little more oomph when they announce themselves, but for now, I love it.

Lauren (EZ):

I just want to talk. I want to talk about how Cher's keeping it tight.

Corey (DM):

She's a vampire, that's why. Oh, what?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, that's news to me.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, she's a vampire.

Nathan (Stump):

I was.

Nathan (Stump):

I would think Botox, but that sounds.

Corey (DM):

That's the name of her clan. Her vampire clan.

Nathan (Stump):

That's kind of awesome.

Corey (DM):

Botox clan.

Nathan (Stump):

Botox.

Lauren (EZ):

What are we doing?

Corey (DM):

What are we doing here? We're talking about Claire Botox.

Nick (E'Louie):

What?

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Podcast people came to listen to.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm just trying to avoid the impending doom.

Corey (DM):

No, I'm ready to do the impending doom.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm ready for doom.

Corey (DM):

So we did leave off on a little bit of a cliffhanger last episode. You all found yourselves. That is right. You all found yourselves finding the Mowing Dads crew and successfully convincing them.

I don't know how, but you successfully convinced them into letting you all in on the plans. You did have the note, so that helped with some leverage. You did remember most of their names.

Lauren (EZ):

Sure.

Corey (DM):

And that worked out as well. And with some good roles, you were able to be like, no, no, we're here. Like, we were invited to come part of this. So I started laying out the plans.

They mentioned that they are going to start a distraction in Rumsfield, where you all are, and use these bubble shields to kind of keep themselves separated for about an hour. And then they figured during the hour, they would start sending a bunch of, like, the process servers and everything over here to Rumsfield.

And while everyone was distracted here, they have sleeper cells in all the smaller towns. And they were going to start mowing like crazy and do it that way, that this was not the real target. The other targets are the smaller towns.

What radical people.

Corey (DM):

They're gonna start mowing, and they're looking good doing it.

Corey (DM):

That's right. They're kicking it up. And then at the last minutes, you basically, the. The curtain whipped open. You saw your buddy. Krause. Devon Krause.

Lauren (EZ):

He's not our buddy.

Corey (DM):

Leading the Tabaxi guards. He was able to decipher the note and knew exactly where you all were headed. And then.

But even though you did steal the note back, he did have enough time to. He's got a pretty good memory. And. And he. Remember he thought of a challenge or thought of it as a challenge when you swipe that back.

So he wasn't gonna let that go, so he had to do something. And of course, he snitched on you.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. We should have just murdered him. In front of his mom.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, my.

Corey (DM):

In front of his grandma.

Lauren (EZ):

I thought he was your godfather.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, I mean, there's Nathan saying that Stump would never.

Corey (DM):

But never have godfather.

Lauren (EZ):

Gotcha. Okay, good.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So he whips it open, you know, he's like, there they are, guards. The. The curtain open.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Not whips it out.

Corey (DM):

He whips curtain open.

Corey (DM):

The curtain. You see a row of Tabaxi guards. Yeah. You all find yourself now faced with a multitude of Tabaxi guards coming into this room.

Krause kind of backs out of the doorway to let the guards in. And there's really nowhere to run in this room. Basically, you have to go out the way you came in.

So now you find yourselves surrounded, and you see one of the guards put a spear down and he says, law.

Corey (DM):

Breakers, you are under arrest by order of the magistrate.

Corey (DM):

Point of order. Oh, for those of us who are not so dnd savvy, what is a Tabaxi?

Corey (DM):

A tabaxi is a feline species.

Lauren (EZ):

That's what I was going to say. Is Stump like, Oh, I was going.

Nathan (Stump):

To say that Stump says, oh, you're.

Nathan (Stump):

Here just in time. Meeting. Almost coming to conclusion. All right, Stump can wrap you up or wrap it up for you. Explain. Come. Come close, cat.

Lauren (EZ):

Come close, cat.

Nathan (Stump):

Over here.

Corey (DM):

They were going to come close, but the minute you start, you know, doing that, come over here. They immediately, he. He points to two other tabaxis and points to you, and they come over to start putting shackles on your arms.

Lauren (EZ):

Can he contest that?

Nathan (Stump):

Don't think they're here for a meeting.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, stop being shackled.

Corey (DM):

I mean, you can totally contest, but you got a room full of tobacco guards. And yes, tobaccos are a feline species, so they are very cat like cat face, cat ears, but standing like humanoid.

Nathan (Stump):

And the popular video game series Elder Scrolls. Whenever you punch a guard, everybody in the entire town is now trying to murder you.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

Basically do is. I don't know if that's the same heat we're messing with here. Do we want to fight these guys and then get out?

Because this is kind of like I need to decide if I'm gonna fight back.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah.

Corey (DM):

I mean, there's about eight guards in there with you now. There's about eight Tabaxi guards. You see that? There's a couple posted outside. You don't know how many more are in the alley.

Corey (DM):

Right.

Corey (DM):

And they did say you're an under arrest by the order of the magistrate. Law breakers. You see the. The mowing dads, they're immediately like, fears in their eye. And they got their hands, like, up their wrists. They're like.

Okay, okay. We're not gonna put up a fight.

Lauren (EZ):

Really?

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Lauren (EZ):

Gosh, Pansies.

Nathan (Stump):

We could try to do a distraction. Some magic maybe, or like a. Oh, my God, look, there's a dad over there that you missed. And then we run.

Lauren (EZ):

Or should we fight?

Nathan (Stump):

Look behind you.

Lauren (EZ):

Your shoe's untied.

Corey (DM):

Man, I'm so ready to fight, but I'm trying to think of what elui would do. Elui? Well, that's not necessary. You don't need to put those on him. We'll come with you.

Nick (E'Louie):

No problem.

Lauren (EZ):

Not criminals.

Corey (DM):

But he, like, opens up a scroll. Section 45, Rule 234.

You are commencing with law breakers in the act of wanting to cut grass, which has been outlawed for 435 years due to the mowing wars by penalty of. Let me see. Well, it used to be death. I don't know what it is now. Sorry, that's hasn't changed.

But anyways, you are now to be seen in front of the magistrate. And he closes it and he just commands everyone to start shackling. What do you all do?

Nathan (Stump):

Do you know? We are normally very important stump. Probably could talk to magistrates.

Corey (DM):

Well, that's where you're going is in front of the magistrate. And I don't know what an anomaly is.

Nathan (Stump):

No, no, no anomaly.

Nathan (Stump):

You said wrong.

Nick (E'Louie):

Actually, we are the anomalies.

Nathan (Stump):

That's.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's right, the anomalies.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

What are you, some kind of circus group? Or is this your. Your mowing dad's? They haven't heard name.

Nathan (Stump):

It's.

Nathan (Stump):

It's okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Stop.

Nathan (Stump):

I forgive you for not remembering.

Corey (DM):

Do we want to try to throw down or are we. Are we gonna go complicitly?

Lauren (EZ):

Man, I really want to fight, but I don't want to start my life as a criminal. Like.

Corey (DM):

So at this point, you've seen, like, the other four other dads. The mowing dads have got, like, their hands behind their back and they are shackled and they're being, like, let out of the room one by one.

Nathan (Stump):

What if I just go wackos and you guys run away and then, like, try to break me out?

Corey (DM):

I'm down with whatever.

Nathan (Stump):

Or we could just fight.

Corey (DM):

We should have. We probably should have tried to do something before they got arrested and been like, guys, we can fight this. But I don't know.

At the time, you don't know what I'm dealing with. Oh, can I do an insight check and and just figure out, like, what kind of threat level. Threat level we're looking at?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah, go ahead. Roll me an insight check.

Lauren (EZ):

It's midnight.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Nine.

Corey (DM):

Plus nothing.

Corey (DM):

Nine plus nothing. As far as you know, they are the law. They're arresting you. They.

Nathan (Stump):

Are you serious?

Corey (DM):

Someone didn't open their app? What?

Nick (E'Louie):

No, that's right.

Nathan (Stump):

We did a whole thing before we started recording about how everybody better have their DND beyond ready.

Corey (DM):

What were you doing when you said.

Lauren (EZ):

You were doing that?

Corey (DM):

It's all good. But no, as far as the inside, I got 11.

Corey (DM):

It's 11.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Good God.

Corey (DM):

Well, then in that case, and with the 11, I will say they don't seem like they're ready to like, throw down and like, murder you on the spot. But they are very stern in their. You. You think, like, you committed a defense.

They're arresting you and they're gonna process you, and they had they tell you they're going to take you in front of the magistrate, but they don't seem like they're gonna harm you. It's just you've committed an infraction of a serious one and you're being arrested.

Corey (DM):

And like any. Does. Can you tell anything about, like, their level or how dangerous they might be?

Corey (DM):

Oh, sure. I mean, they are fully, like, heavy armor. Like, I'm talking like head to toe.

Well, they don't have like a helmet on, but, like from the neck down, everything is covered in steel. Still boobs, everything. You can see, like, fur popping out of, like, where the joints are. Some are carrying spears.

You know, everyone has a great sword on their hip. Like, these guys are decked out, like, full on, like, heavy duty guards.

Lauren (EZ):

But their heads aren't protected, so we can chop their heads off.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. It's so easy.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah.

Corey (DM):

So easy. A 3V8.

Lauren (EZ):

What is our stance here? Because we can go willingly, like these cowards, or we can fight and then be criminals, or we can say like, oh, we're not with them.

And then they're gonna be like, what the heck? So it's just whatever we do, I.

Corey (DM):

Will tell you, you are level three characters. These are full plated.

Nathan (Stump):

Right.

Corey (DM):

Knights, in a sense. So you. I mean, you are more than welcome to do whatever you want. Thank you. Just keep that in mind.

Corey (DM):

This episode is going to be called tpk.

Nathan (Stump):

It's good. It's good to know where we stand.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, I.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay. We're in an alleyway.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, Right.

Nathan (Stump):

Alleyways are famously narrow.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. You're in a room just off the alley.

Nathan (Stump):

Famously big yeah, and they got to Stump first. I'm assuming you guys are on the other side of me.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. Behind him.

Nathan (Stump):

What if Stump is just like. Like, he starts kind of realizing what's going on, and he's about to get shackled, and he looks back at you.

Corey (DM):

Guys, and he's like, Eloy makes eye contact to stop.

Nathan (Stump):

And don't think. Maybe these cats are kind of serious. Maybe you guys should go.

Nathan (Stump):

And he turns around, and he just starts going, stop.

Nick (E'Louie):

Spin now.

Nathan (Stump):

And he just starts spinning in circles as fast as he can with his hands out.

Corey (DM):

He looks at Elui, looks at E. And says, let's go easy.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay?

Corey (DM):

And so.

Corey (DM):

And Eloise starts running.

Corey (DM):

Okay, stop.

Nathan (Stump):

Spin faster.

Corey (DM):

Roll me a quick. Roll me a strength check on your spinning. Stump spin move.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, I hope I don't hurt these guys too bad.

Corey (DM):

And then I will say what happens with you all, but I want to hear how crazy his spinning is.

Nathan (Stump):

I don't know if this affects anything, but Stump's going for, like, a theatrical spin, not, like a hurt spin as much.

Lauren (EZ):

Do you have a. I wish he had a streamer.

Nathan (Stump):

That's an 18. And then I got lots of strength.

Lauren (EZ):

Good spin.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So you're trying to be theatrical with it, but maybe you're spinning just a little too hard. So you are doing your spinning theatrical, kind of going crazy. You do end up clocking one of the tabaxis in the chin.

Nathan (Stump):

Whoops.

Corey (DM):

And, like, you know, like, even the toughest guys, you just hit that button, like, perfectly. Like, their knees crumple. And so you hit this one good enough. It's knees crumple.

Nathan (Stump):

It's like that Poly Shore movie where he gets punched right in the nose and just crumples so good.

Corey (DM):

And so when he crumples, the other two that were near him just immediately jump on top of you. And so the weight is pretty heavy with all that armor. They're big to backseat. Even though you're a big guy, that's still a lot.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

And so they, like, jump on you, and they're shoving you into, like, the side of the wall to, like, hold you down. So while that's happening, the two of you start making a shot for the exit, right?

Corey (DM):

I don't know. It's 3v7 now.

Corey (DM):

So here's what I'm saying. You have. So that's one on the ground, two holding him. I said there's eight in here.

So you have to get through five people between you and the door to get out of this room. And you started running so now we.

Corey (DM):

Can't go back the other way.

Corey (DM):

No, I said there's only one way.

Corey (DM):

Into this room where they are.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, we're in a. I thought we were in an alleyway.

Corey (DM):

No, you were in the alleyway. But you remember you went into the room to me and you shut the curtain. So what if.

Nathan (Stump):

I hope this helped, man.

Corey (DM):

So when you all take off running, you see there's five guards.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

In the way between you and the door.

Corey (DM):

It's acrobatics for me. I think I'm gonna. I think Eloise is going to. Yeah, Eloise gonna try to get out parkour.

Corey (DM):

All right, let's see an acrobatics check.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, Well, I do that too.

Corey (DM):

Well, that's what.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. I was pointing at the door that there was going to be a distraction. Eluie was like, let's go.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Because Stump turned around and said, I'm gonna do it.

Lauren (EZ):

And I hate to abandon him. Gosh, I'm in a pickle. I just don't know what do to do.

Corey (DM):

Oh, no, it's. We will be back.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. Stump looks at you guys and, like, you kind of see through the tabaxi pile. You see his eye, and he winks.

Lauren (EZ):

A.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so Elu is gonna. Is just. Because the thought from his perspective was that when Stump does the thing, he's doing the distraction. I'm getting out, so. Okay, so I'm.

I would like to roll acrobatics. Absolutely.

Corey (DM):

All right, so here we go.

Corey (DM):

So Elui attempts to jump through all these gangsters and has a 15 plus 6. 21.

Nathan (Stump):

Dang. Wow. So acrobatic for a little guy.

Corey (DM):

All right, so I'm gonna roll for all five.

Corey (DM):

Oh, boy. Come on.

Corey (DM):

It's gonna be easy.

Lauren (EZ):

Come on.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

First one misses. You don't know what their plus is.

Corey (DM):

That is true. Hopefully it's not like a plus 15.

Corey (DM):

Second one misses.

Corey (DM):

Some good rolls.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh. Third one misses.

Lauren (EZ):

Are you making those voices?

Corey (DM):

He's like, foot on this guy's head.

Corey (DM):

Fourth one misses.

Corey (DM):

He's gonna slide between the last one's leg out through the. The doorway.

Corey (DM):

All right. I will tell you, they have a plus seven.

Corey (DM):

Oh, snap.

Corey (DM):

This is the fifth one.

Corey (DM):

Here we go.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh. Okay.

Corey (DM):

It's gonna be so easy. It's gonna be that.

Corey (DM):

Hold on.

Corey (DM):

Easy for you.

Corey (DM):

That was the door. That was the room.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

You made out of the room. There are two guards standing post at the door.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

As you break out into the alleyway. Yeah.

Since this was so I'm not trying to, like, be overly, like, trying to railroad here, but since they heard that this was the mowing dads, they brought more than just, like, a normal thing.

Corey (DM):

Okay?

Corey (DM):

So as you're breaking out, like, you're still gon a chance to escape. Like, you bust out the door now under everybody because you're small, so you.

Corey (DM):

Kind of elu Was like, head. Like, his foot was on this guy's head, and he jumped over, and then he used his hands to push off another one's shoulder.

Nathan (Stump):

I love that.

Corey (DM):

And then he jumped into this guy's chest and then went back around to the wall, to the other side and slid through the last guy's leg, thinking he's free.

Corey (DM):

And as you slide through the door, you pass the two guards that are. They're standing base.

Corey (DM):

And the whole time he's like.

Corey (DM):

Exactly. And as you stand up, you see kind of like a semicircle out in the alley. You see about six or seven to backseat guards to your right.

There's about another seven or eight to backseat guards to your left. And they're all kind of just, like, looking around, making sure there's nothing. So they're basically blocking both ways of the alley.

So you can go right down where you guys can. Are they looking at me? Well, by the time when you slide out, you make a noise, all eyes have turned on you.

So you can either bolt left or right, try to weasel your way through again. Or in front of you, there's the alley wall. There's a few, like, I'm gonna say empty, like, crates and things.

So you could try to parkour your way up the wall. So I will also give you that out. Okay, so what would you like to do?

Corey (DM):

So Eloise slides through, looks around, sees all the Tabaxi guards looking at him,.

Nick (E'Louie):

And says, quick, they need your help inside. The big man, he's gone crazy.

Nathan (Stump):

Don't crazy.

Lauren (EZ):

And you hear.

Corey (DM):

You hear from the inside, Catch that.

Corey (DM):

Little old man, and then he goes.

Corey (DM):

And then he runs for the. The Great Wall.

Nathan (Stump):

I would love to try to catch Eloi. It sounds like so much fun.

Corey (DM):

All right, I'm gonna need you to make another acrobatics check.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh.

Nathan (Stump):

Also happening. Maybe you can help too. I don't know.

Lauren (EZ):

Well, I. I will. I will.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, I'll get to you in a minute.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, we'll do this one by one.

Corey (DM):

So it's a. It's only a five. One. One plus six is 11, so.

Corey (DM):

All right, so I gave you one last Shot to get away.

Corey (DM):

Oh, man, he did.

Corey (DM):

You didn't quite.

Corey (DM):

You.

Corey (DM):

You ran. You. You hit, like, your leg on that crate. You go to, like, jump off of that. But maybe it's just, like, old and worn out, you know, rotted through.

So your foot actually pushes right over there.

Lauren (EZ):

Ouchy.

Corey (DM):

And your leg kind of gets stuck and you just see a con. These guards, I just come and grab you and start putting you in shackles as well. You are now officially shackled. Stump is officially shackled. Easy.

You are inside. Seeing Stump taken, you see Eloise bolt out. Everyone, like, turned to look, and now that he made it out, they turn back to you. What do you do?

Corey (DM):

You're totally gonna get out of this.

Lauren (EZ):

So, okay, so I have two things so that I want. I have questions about. Can I ask questions?

Nathan (Stump):

No.

Corey (DM):

Sure.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, thank you.

Corey (DM):

No questions allowed.

Lauren (EZ):

Sorry, no questions.

Corey (DM):

Unfortunate, but no.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so two things. I have halfling nimbleness, which I can move through the space of any creature that is a larger size than you.

Nathan (Stump):

These guys would be that.

Corey (DM):

So basically, that means, like, in initiative, you can't stand in somewhat. Like, when you're initiative in battle, you can't stand on the same space as somebody, but since you're so small, you can just share a space.

Is all that really means is the halfling nimbleness.

Lauren (EZ):

It says. Yeah, you can't stop in the same space.

Nathan (Stump):

And so more of a combat.

Lauren (EZ):

So that is not something I can use.

Corey (DM):

Not at the moment.

Lauren (EZ):

Now. And then I also have naturally stealthy. You can take.

Corey (DM):

You are not stealthy at all.

Lauren (EZ):

It says, you know, I. I am. I have plus one.

Corey (DM):

No, I mean, all eyes are on you. There's no way you can be stealthy.

Lauren (EZ):

You can take the hide action even when you are obscured only by a creature that is at least one size larger than you.

Corey (DM):

That means you can, like, hide behind a large creature.

Corey (DM):

And that would be really funny if you did that right now.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

And tried to hide.

Corey (DM):

And also, don't forget, you have heavy armor on, which gives you disadvantage of stealth checks.

Nathan (Stump):

It would be like, don't tell the dm. Like, you, like, stood behind a lamp in the room.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, exactly.

Corey (DM):

Jump over them all through the doorway.

Corey (DM):

Remember, the only exit is literally the door that they're blocking.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. So I'm going to try and you.

Corey (DM):

Just try and do what Eloi did.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, but I want to use that.

Corey (DM):

Athletics or you're gonna bullet through them.

Lauren (EZ):

Like a football player. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Like a linebacker.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, I'm gonna be.

Corey (DM):

If you want to, like, Tornado through them. You're gonna have to do a strength check because you're gonna try knocking everybody over is what.

Lauren (EZ):

So it's not athletics.

Corey (DM):

If you want to try to do what Eloi did and, like, weasel your way through and, like, weave in and out, that's athletics. If you're trying to cannonball through them, that's strength.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, I'll do.

Corey (DM):

I prefer monkey my way through.

Corey (DM):

Trying to monkey your way through.

Lauren (EZ):

The first thing that you said, weasel.

Corey (DM):

Your monkey your way through.

Corey (DM):

She can weasel. Elu monkeyed his way through. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Okay, now, you are wearing heavy armor, so that would slow you down some, but I'm gonna go ahead and give you just a straight acrobatics check. Or athletic. You want athletics or acrobatics? I'll let you do athletics. All right. Athletics, they're both, actually.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, but athletics, you're gonna nail this.

Corey (DM):

Go for it.

Corey (DM):

Anything over 20 the whole way through.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

It's like a tiny ball of force.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so an 18 plus five. So 23. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So, all right, all five are gonna check against you as well. Remember, they have a plus seven. So what's 15 plus seven? 22.

Nathan (Stump):

22.

Corey (DM):

Close. That's a two.

Lauren (EZ):

Yay.

Corey (DM):

Oh, 18 plus seven.

Corey (DM):

23.

Corey (DM):

25.

Corey (DM):

18 And seven. 25.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So you get through the first three, you're like.

And as you go past the fourth one, you just see him pull up his spear, and basically it just, like, clotheslines you.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

As you run in, all right, And.

Lauren (EZ):

I fall on your back, I fart on the way down.

Nathan (Stump):

Stuff is like, well, so much for that plan.

Corey (DM):

And then they're, like, holding you down and flip you over, shackle you in the back. And they've now, like, wrangled all the. All three of you up.

Lauren (EZ):

You don't understand.

Nathan (Stump):

Usually when stump spin around and scream, everything go wet, you know, Pretty good, but.

Nick (E'Louie):

Very unfortunate.

Corey (DM):

And then you hear, like, what? They're like, what? The one who was talking earlier is, like, breathing heavily.

Corey (DM):

He's like, what'd y' all do that for?

Corey (DM):

You just added more charges to your charges.

Corey (DM):

To your charges.

Corey (DM):

You just add more charges to your charges.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, you look tired. Why don't you take a nap?

Corey (DM):

Because I'm not sleepy. I'm just tired.

Nathan (Stump):

Come to Stumps House. We have, like, a dozen beds.

Corey (DM):

That is true. So they. They start wrangling you all outside as you. As you two make your way out.

You see Eloise, they're kind of dusting him off, and he's shackled as well.

Lauren (EZ):

That's nice.

Corey (DM):

And you see just down the alley, the four dads have also been wrangled up, and they're just waiting for the rest of you. And you hear that. That one who was in charge, he.

Corey (DM):

Says, take him to the magistrate.

Lauren (EZ):

I was framed.

Corey (DM):

And then he says, you're not the picture. He yells at the other ones. He's like, add resisting, add evading, and add obstruction to their charges.

Nathan (Stump):

What does dump say? You look very cute.

Nathan (Stump):

And he.

Corey (DM):

Okay, you can take one off of this one.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, thank you.

Lauren (EZ):

Can what? Dang it. If I said, it wouldn't seem genuine.

Corey (DM):

You're just copying.

Corey (DM):

You look nice.

Lauren (EZ):

You're very handsome.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So they start hauling you down the alleyway, you know, weaving in and out of these west wall alleys.

Nathan (Stump):

Stop.

Nathan (Stump):

Need to buy something.

Corey (DM):

They start shoving you.

Corey (DM):

Keep moving.

Corey (DM):

Ow. Keep moving.

Nick (E'Louie):

What have we gotten ourselves into? My goodness.

Lauren (EZ):

We're good people.

Corey (DM):

As you're kind of. You've kind of caught up with the other, like, mowing dads and stuff. And they look at you all and.

Corey (DM):

They're like, don't say anything. Don't say anything.

Nick (E'Louie):

Just.

Corey (DM):

Just whatever they ask. Don't say anything.

Nathan (Stump):

What about demoing?

Corey (DM):

You see one of them, like, trying to kick you, but he can't quite reach.

Nathan (Stump):

Everybody hurting. Stop.

Corey (DM):

So they ended up getting out of the west wall, and they start heading to the town center. The town center is right outside of, like, this. This big, beautiful temple that you all saw when he came in.

As you get to the center of town here, right in front of the big temple, you see there is a crowd that has gathered. And you see up on the top of the steps, there's these steps that kind of go up that's overlooking everybody.

And on the top of these steps, you see more to backseat guards. And then you see what looks almost like a throne chair. Oh, and there's someone sitting at it.

Nathan (Stump):

This must be where the magic plate is.

Nathan (Stump):

Remember?

Lauren (EZ):

No.

Nathan (Stump):

They say we take you to magic plate.

Nick (E'Louie):

I think he said place.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, magic place. This place. Magical.

Lauren (EZ):

I wasn't listening.

Nathan (Stump):

Don't love magic.

Corey (DM):

And so as you all get to the center there, they line you all up in a row, so, like, shoulder to shoulder. And they do that thing where everyone takes the. The back of their spear and pop you in the back of the leg to make you kneel.

So they do that to everybody. And then everyone's like, oh, you know, down on their knees and looking up, you see this.

This figure come up off the throne, and he is a very overweight man with like, fake cat ears and it looks like he's added his own whiskers to his face.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, I like this.

Corey (DM):

And he's wearing these colorful robes that are just flowing. He's got rings all over his fingers. He's bit on the portly side like I said. And he walks up and raises his hands to everybody.

And they're like, this crowd has gathered because they knew something happened was going down. And so he looks at everyone, he's.

Nick (E'Louie):

Like, listen, everybody, before us today, we have arrested law breakers. These have been convicted and brought in before me, your magistrate, Lord Floof.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, you are the magic plate. Excuse me, Hello, I'm Stump.

Nick (E'Louie):

I am Magistrate Lord Floof. And you will address me as such.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, Magic plate Lord's Floof guards.

Corey (DM):

And one of them, like, pulls out his, his armor hand and just slaps.

Corey (DM):

You with his hand like his gauntlet.

Lauren (EZ):

Is he challenging him to a duel?

Nathan (Stump):

He's making me shut up.

Nick (E'Louie):

Thank you, gods. Listen, I, Lord Floof, have arrested these men and you.

Corey (DM):

Well, actually, Eloise, why don't you roll me a perception check? Sweet.

Corey (DM):

Okay, we've got a 15 plus.

Lauren (EZ):

Well done.

Corey (DM):

2:17.

Corey (DM):

All right, you see behind the magistrate, a Weasley looking little goblin with red suspenders.

Corey (DM):

Is that our boy?

Corey (DM):

That is Krause.

Lauren (EZ):

He's not our boy.

Nick (E'Louie):

Is he doing back?

Corey (DM):

You just see him up there and you see like he's being handed these bags and he's pulling through him. You see him just like counting vouchers and putting them back in the bag.

Nathan (Stump):

The name Judas.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Eli kind of looks over at Easy and tries to get some attention and kind of points up with his head, you know.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, Stump notices too. And he goes, oh, yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, Steven Krause.

Nathan (Stump):

Krause. Hey, over here.

Corey (DM):

It's your friends.

Nathan (Stump):

I know you tried to help us earlier. And the guards over.

Nick (E'Louie):

Thank you.

Corey (DM):

And Eluie is just shaking his head just like, what?

Nathan (Stump):

It stopped, remember?

Corey (DM):

And Kraus looks at you and he, he whispers something to the magistrate and then he looks back at you and just gives you this, like, evil grin. And he looks back at you, Eloi, and he does that thing where like, runs his finger across, like, his neck.

And then you see him just turn around and head into the actual temple. And then the magistrate, you just see him like, laughing at whatever Kraus, Devon Kraus told him.

And he kind of rubs his hands like this a little bit. And then he puts his hands back.

Nick (E'Louie):

Up and he says, rumsfield, are your beloved Magistrate Lord Floof.

Corey (DM):

And hear everyone CHEERING like, yeah, we love you.

Nick (E'Louie):

He says, we haven't had law breakers here in a very long time in Rumsfield. I believe this calls for a celebration. What say the crowd?

Corey (DM):

And everyone just starts cheering again. And he says, ah, yes, what shall we do?

Nick (E'Louie):

And you start hearing, arena, arena, arena.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, this could be fun.

Corey (DM):

And Lord Floof is like, oh, yes, the arena.

Nick (E'Louie):

This is how we settle law breakers in Rumsfield. All hail the mighty Rum Tum Tugger and may she bless this disciplinary action. We offer up this punishment so you may bless us and we may prosper.

Corey (DM):

And then you hear him say, take.

Nick (E'Louie):

Them to the arena, guys, don't worry.

Nathan (Stump):

Arenas are so much fun.

Nick (E'Louie):

Lots of blood and smashes are getting interesting here.

Corey (DM):

They whip you up on your feet, you and the mowing dads. And they take you and everyone's like, everyone's like cheering.

Corey (DM):

The crowds are like, yeah, you hear some people like, it's been such a long time since we've seen a good fight.

Corey (DM):

And they start holding you. So after a few minutes, you're passing through all these crowds, they've kind of made like a walkway so you can.

Corey (DM):

Go between all these crowds.

Corey (DM):

And they're like, cheering and very excited. The kids are like, like tugging on their parents. And the parents like, yeah.

Eventually, after a while, just to the right of the temple, it goes further towards the north eastern side of Rumsfield is the arena. You see people like piling in and the guards take you actually to this, like, underground. The crowd goes into the arena.

You all headed special entrance that goes underground. As you make your way underground, you are escorted along with the mowing dads and you arrive to the gates underneath.

That is like where they basically put the gladiators, if you will. They throw you all in there. They release your shackles one by one and push you in one by one.

So they don't, like, you know, push you in, shut the door, push you in, shut the door. Eventually, the three of you and the four mowing dads are now inside and the door is locked.

But you do see there's another door on the other side of the little cage they put you in that leads up a ramp. Excuse me. That's going to lead into the arena.

Now, the Tabaxi guard who's there watching you, says, will you be using your own weapons or will you rely on the weapons roulette? Oh, what?

Lauren (EZ):

What's what?

Corey (DM):

Because you notice I have not taken your weapons from you. He's like, do you guys not know the rules?

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, would you be so Kind to explain the rules.

Corey (DM):

No, this is actually the first time we've ever been arrested in this town.

Corey (DM):

All right, all right. So. And the. The Four Dads, they're like, we want.

Corey (DM):

To start with ours. We want to start with ours. Yeah, we're going to start with our weapons.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay. So they seem excited. I was wondering what their tone would be if they were like, I think.

Nathan (Stump):

They were freaked out.

Corey (DM):

And so the Tabac sea guard starts telling you all three.

Corey (DM):

So in the arena, you can either.

Corey (DM):

Start with your weapons or you can start with a random. Like, you'll spin the wheel and you get a random weapon. Now we will. Then if you. If you start with a random weapon, you will spin the wheel.

Get a random weapon. That's what you get. We will take your original weapons that are yours and. And we will hide them in the arena. So you can still use your weapons.

You just have to find. There's. There's basically little chests scattered throughout the arena that you could open up and get a random weapon, they said.

Or you can start with your own weapons, but you still have the opportunity to get a random weapon.

Nathan (Stump):

Weapons.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, it's just what you want to start with, actually.

Nathan (Stump):

What do you guys want to do?

Lauren (EZ):

It actually might be more interesting to spin the wheel.

Corey (DM):

Is gonna mostly use his hands. And so I think he says, oh,.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, we might as well do something different.

Corey (DM):

Sure, I'll.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'll choose the random one.

Corey (DM):

All right. And you see him call to another guard.

The guard comes out, he brings this, like, makeshift, like, wheel, and it's got, like, little envelopes on all the different spots. And it's got the little ticker on that.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah. Wheel of Fortune style.

Nathan (Stump):

Awesome.

Corey (DM):

Basically, he says, reach your hand through the bars and spin the wheel.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so E does that. Eloise does that.

Corey (DM):

Can you roll for me?

Corey (DM):

Of course.

Corey (DM):

A.

Nick (E'Louie):

Hold on.

Corey (DM):

Let me see what I need you to roll.

Lauren (EZ):

Is that what it would sound like?

Nathan (Stump):

You guys look over in the corner and stops, like, on his bike.

Corey (DM):

D6. Roll me. D6 on your bike?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

And he's like, no, two.

Corey (DM):

Two you get.

Nathan (Stump):

Still have bike.

Corey (DM):

The chainsaw sword.

Corey (DM):

Yeah,.

Lauren (EZ):

I. But it's probably stuff like that. And then it's probably, like, a fish.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

The industrial chainsaw sword. Basically, you get charges. You have to actually, like, crank it up to use it. So the first crank is level one, and that activates a sword.

So when you crank it, it activates it, and you can attack with the sword and it does an extra 1. D6 slashing damage.

Nathan (Stump):

I Snuck a peek. And it looks like something from Devil May Cry.

Corey (DM):

Yes, absolutely. You can crank it again to get to level two. Creatures hit with the sword at level two have their speed.

So basically, each level you crank this at makes it spin faster. The chain that goes around the blade, the. The sword blade. And then each level gives a different effect, which I'll let him explain when those pop up.

But yes, you just like keep cranking that thing with each level. And then I think keep cranking. Oh yeah. You have to roll a D20 when you want to crank.

Nathan (Stump):

It says that.

Corey (DM):

And if you successfully roll higher than 10, you crank it to the next level. But the first level, I give it to you for free. Okay. Anyone else? Yes, it's. It's.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Anyone else?

Lauren (EZ):

Hello? Well, this is not gonna go well for me. I already know it. But you know, it'll make it interesting for the listener. Yes.

Corey (DM):

All right, so they're gonna hide your weapons in the map somewhere.

Nick (E'Louie):

Sweet.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Roll a D6.

Lauren (EZ):

Day six. All right. I got the five.

Corey (DM):

Oh no.

Lauren (EZ):

Corey.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, I'll take a screenshot.

Corey (DM):

You get a balloon.

Nathan (Stump):

The rubber duck.

Corey (DM):

So you've heard of a short sword? You get the short sword. Yeah, that makes.

Lauren (EZ):

That makes sense because I farted when they captured me.

Corey (DM):

The shart sword gets a plus two bonus attack and damage rolls made with this magic short sword. And it is stenchy. It also has a thing called shark spray.

Corey (DM):

So I will let you describe it.

Corey (DM):

Whenever it is your turn to use it. But you get the shart sword just.

Lauren (EZ):

Like poop all around it.

Corey (DM):

Stump, you sticking with your original? Are you getting a random roulette?

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, Stump is he again.

Nathan (Stump):

He can stomp, keep pike, stop, give you ax. But Stump keep bike too.

Corey (DM):

So you want to use your bike as your first weapon?

Nathan (Stump):

No, it's not weapon. You crazy. Haha, that funny.

Corey (DM):

So you want to ride your bike in the arena?

Nathan (Stump):

I like to ride my bicycle.

Corey (DM):

Do you like to ride your bike?

Nathan (Stump):

I like to ride my bike.

Corey (DM):

So are we rolling or not?

Corey (DM):

For what?

Corey (DM):

Yes, roll a D6.

Lauren (EZ):

Before you do that, I'll show you the photo.

Nathan (Stump):

Wow.

Nathan (Stump):

Yep. That.

Nathan (Stump):

That's poop.

Corey (DM):

That is.

Corey (DM):

Is that a shard sword?

Nick (E'Louie):

Good.

Nathan (Stump):

I. I just had like. I forgot. D6 is like classic dice.

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Which one's the D6?

Nathan (Stump):

Five.

Lauren (EZ):

Shard sword.

Corey (DM):

Re roll.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

A4.

Corey (DM):

All right.

Corey (DM):

You only have one shark sword available.

Corey (DM):

Oh, I think this totally makes sense for Stump. Oh, you get the ring of finger guns. Basically, you. They are two rings that you will attach to both of your index fingers.

Basically, they shoot magic missiles.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump gets rings.

Corey (DM):

So your finger guns will now shoot magic missiles.

Nathan (Stump):

Stuff's like, aha.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump, cooler now. Oh, it's not working yet.

Corey (DM):

Not yet. Not. Sorry, sorry. These aren't activated to get into the actual arena. Oh, and then you see the Four Dads are also put in.

In with you, like I said, but they're using their own weapons. And you hear the guards say, all.

Corey (DM):

Right, well, have fun.

Corey (DM):

And yeah, they. You hear the door behind you unlock, and it opens up.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, my gosh. Can I read this?

Corey (DM):

Sure.

Nathan (Stump):

This is like actually canon. It says, you lock eyes with Todd from accounting. Between the two of you is the last crawler. It glistens with a sugary glaze.

Your fingers point forward and you raise your thumb. A moment passes. Todd reaches for the crawler. You drop your thumb, and he's blasted across the room. You blow smoke from the tip of your finger.

This is like yu. Yu hakusho. If anybody knows what that is.

Corey (DM):

I don't.

Nathan (Stump):

It didn't have to end this way, Todd. We could have shared the crueler Todd. You take a bite. Delicious.

Nathan (Stump):

This is great for getting donuts.

Lauren (EZ):

You got your donut.

Corey (DM):

That was a little description. Maybe there was an old ain't. Maybe donuts existed in the past and maybe they've been extinct. And these are.

These are ancient artifacts bringing back,.

Lauren (EZ):

Gaslighting you and being like, there's no donuts. And then they just keep. Keep doing stuff like that.

Corey (DM):

So the back. The back cage clicks open, swings open the mowing. Dads are scared, but they're holding on like they're ready to go. You all have got your weapons.

They have taken your weapons. They have made their way up to the arena before you. They said, you know, your. Your weapons will be hidden up there if you choose to use them.

And they're. They're like, also survive. And they gave a thumbs up and they leave.

Nathan (Stump):

Thank you.

Corey (DM):

And there is now a door that.

Corey (DM):

Opens up into the arena.

Nathan (Stump):

Do I actually have that bike still?

Corey (DM):

If you want to take it in with you.

Nathan (Stump):

Do I get any kind of movement speed increase?

Corey (DM):

I will let you have an extra 20ft of movement with the bicycle.

Nathan (Stump):

We've got a fair and benevolent dm. Perfect.

Corey (DM):

Right? Okay. As you enter the arena, you make your way up to a small platform in the middle. It is circular. The door hat the hatch closes behind you.

You're now at this floor level and in the middle of this circular arena. So it's a large arena. Like I said. There's a circle platform that is that you are standing on.

There is a path that leads to the east or the left and the right. It's like a bridge that goes over a circle of water. So the platform you are on is actually floating in water.

And then there's a bridge to the left and the right that leads to staircases. This is a large oval arena. You see some, like, water. Water hazards throughout. It is a dirt floor underneath the bridges. And off the platform.

It is just a circle of people sitting around, just like any arena that you would see. And standing before you, the four dads are behind you, the four mowing dads. The three of you are standing side by side.

And then you see someone standing in front of you who appears to be a process server. They are wearing the standard, like, silver suit all the way through. And you see him standing opposed to you all.

So you know you all are facing one way, he is facing you all, and everyone is cheering. And he kind of raises his hands to the crowd, which seems to be like, this might be the guy you're fighting.

He stares at you all for a moment, kind of looks you over. Yeah, he's wearing the process server suit. So obviously this is a keeper of the law, as you all know, and works for the dmv.

And then you see him walk up to you all and says, hello, contestants, hello. You have been there. You are breakers of law. And I am here to make sure that, you know, people that break the law suffer the consequences.

You do the crime, you are gonna do the time. And in this case, the time is here in this arena. And you see him begin to take off, or he starts to unzip his. His suit, his process server suit.

And he stops a little and he's like, actually, before I continue, there's something you should know. And the crowd kind of goes silent at this point in the morning.

Dads are like, they're getting ready to go, you know, and this guy looks at you all, he's looking at you. And his eyes fix on Stump. And he says, you may not know.

Corey (DM):

Or remember who I am. No, but long ago, when I was just a child, I was on a train. I was with my family, going on vacation.

Nathan (Stump):

Train person.

Corey (DM):

And on that train, someone destroyed it, killing me and my family.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, wonder who that could. We should get that guy.

Corey (DM):

Have held on to that hatred since I've been here and I knew you were here. And now I am going to take my revenge.

Corey (DM):

And he begins to rip off his silver suit. And as he rips off his silver suit, it turns into.

Corey (DM):

He now looks like a ringleader of a circus.

Corey (DM):

He's got that long tail coat. His hair turns to this like, shimmery and sparkling like silver. His suit has like hearts, spades, clubs and diamonds all mixed through it.

Very fancy looking.

Nathan (Stump):

I don't want to kill this guy. Sounds awesome.

Corey (DM):

And he looks at you and he.

Lauren (EZ):

Says, well, you already killed him.

Corey (DM):

Once again, my father meant so much to me. And now I want you to know my name before I kill you. My name is Blazier, and you're going down.

Corey (DM):

And now let's take a minute to hear from our sponsor. Has this ever happened to you?

Corey (DM):

You find yourself wondering what the hell is going on.

Nathan (Stump):

Do you ever feel like everything around you was made up of on the spot within a one hour time period?

Lauren (EZ):

Do you ever feel like the sky is mad at you?

Corey (DM):

Well, have I got a deal for you. Pick up Sendeo for Dummies today at your local dmv. This will help you for when someone.

Corey (DM):

You don't know asks, do tabaxis use litter boxes?

Lauren (EZ):

Where can I find a donut?

Nathan (Stump):

Why is there confetti on my house?

Corey (DM):

Why do water go up?

Corey (DM):

Well, for just three easy payments of $19.99 vouchers, plus shipping and handling, you can own Sendaio for Dummies.

Nathan (Stump):

But what if you are smart and don't have any need for this? Like stomp?

Corey (DM):

Well, dummy, you do. Oh, that's Sendao for Dummies. Pick up at your local DMV.

Nick (E'Louie):

Now.

Corey (DM):

And Eloise says, now listen.

Nick (E'Louie):

Excuse me, laddie. Can I have a moment of your attention? You see, forgiveness is not pretending the wound did not happen.

It's choosing not to let bitterness sit on the throne of your soul. The scar may ache still, Ay, but at least it's no longer steering the carved. Could you find it in your heart to forgive this?

Nathan (Stump):

Scars cannot steer.

Lauren (EZ):

What?

Nathan (Stump):

That makes no sense.

Nick (E'Louie):

I'm trying to talk to this man on your behalf.

Corey (DM):

Oh, and he looks at you and.

Corey (DM):

He's like, nothing can turn this heart of stone. I am going to kill him and all who are associated with him.

Corey (DM):

And then you hear the magistrate say,.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, this is going to be so fun. Everybody get to your corners.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

And so he's extracting you all to move over here. Yes. Easy.

Lauren (EZ):

I was like, I'm trying to ask a question.

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay. No. I lost my train of thought. Okay. Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

Train.

Lauren (EZ):

So. Oh, no.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, no more trains, please.

Lauren (EZ):

So out. Out of question. How does this guy remember that? Because Right. Because people don't remember stuff.

Corey (DM):

I don't know how he remembers. That might be something you have to figure out.

Nathan (Stump):

And next, grandma lady, she was like,.

Corey (DM):

Tinge of memory a little bit coming.

Nathan (Stump):

Back, a twinge of it.

Corey (DM):

You don't know how he now remembers, but he does.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, boy.

Corey (DM):

All right.

Corey (DM):

So it's just like now we're in a world where the folks that we've killed are starting to remember who we are. Yeah. The.

Corey (DM):

The magistrate tells everyone, go to your corners. And so you three go off to the left side of the. Where the bridge is across the bridge to the platform.

The blazer, the process server, who is now fully encased in, like, looking very magical. Magician, circus conductor, whatever he is. Off to the other side. You see the. The four Dads are now split into their. Their starting corners.

And then out of the ground, you see these four small or five small creatures rise up, and they're taking over the center of.

Nathan (Stump):

Can I do one little joke just for us?

Corey (DM):

Sure.

Nathan (Stump):

This blazer is a pro,.

Corey (DM):

Is he not?

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, I got that.

Corey (DM):

But inside joke.

Corey (DM):

Looks like a pro to me.

Corey (DM):

Also, looking at this map, I know listeners, you cannot see it, so I'll try to keep describing the best I can. There's a circle in the middle, two bridges, two platforms. Platforms that they can go to. They are on separate platforms across. So they're.

The players are on one side of the arena, blazers on the other side. The mowing dads are in the center. I have these little question marks laid throughout the map.

Corey (DM):

Those are wooden chests.

Nathan (Stump):

We got one right next to us.

Corey (DM):

You can find your weapons in there. You might find another random weapon, and you may find surprises.

Corey (DM):

Do we have to take the weapon if we open the chest?

Corey (DM):

You don't have to take it, but it is there.

Nathan (Stump):

So since my ring is a weapon, can I. Like, if I get an axe, can I still wield that axe and the rings?

Corey (DM):

Absolutely, you can.

Nathan (Stump):

Cool.

Corey (DM):

Now, I will say, once you open the chest, the chest will disappear after a little bit. Well, I guess I shouldn't have told you that already, but I'm telling you now.

Lauren (EZ):

I should not have said that.

Corey (DM):

Whenever you leave, if you leave something in the chest, it will disappear with it.

Nathan (Stump):

Gotcha.

Corey (DM):

If you don't take it, if you take it out, it will not disappear with the chest. So if you find Lauren's weapons and you leave it in the chest, they might disappear, and she might not get her weapons again ever again.

Nathan (Stump):

If I give you, like, wow, 20v bucks.

Corey (DM):

How many.

Nathan (Stump):

How many chests Can I get.

Lauren (EZ):

What are V bucks?

Nathan (Stump):

You can open now. Just don't worry about it, actually, but you're so much better off.

Lauren (EZ):

Like vagina dollars out loud.

Nathan (Stump):

I wish it was that.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

All right, everybody. The magistrate says, let the. Let the discipline begin. So let's roll for initiative.

Nathan (Stump):

I got a plus two.

Lauren (EZ):

Hot dog.

Nathan (Stump):

That's a 19.

Corey (DM):

I have a six. Plus six is a 12.

Lauren (EZ):

You have a plus six?

Corey (DM):

I do have a plus six. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Never hurt Monks get a lot of crazy initiative stuff.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, I have plus one. Are you impressed?

Corey (DM):

What's your role?

Lauren (EZ):

Nine, sir. I'm sorry.

Nathan (Stump):

He's got all these pluses, but he's also cursed with ocd.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

As a.

Nathan (Stump):

As a monk.

Corey (DM):

All right, let me roll for the day.

Lauren (EZ):

Because of this show.

Corey (DM):

What do you mean?

Corey (DM):

All right, here is the order for our listeners and for our players. Stump, you will be going first. Eloise, you will be going second. In order. The minions will be going third. Easy, you will be going fourth.

The dads will be going fifth. And Blazer will be going last.

Nick (E'Louie):

All right.

Nathan (Stump):

All right. So each square.

Corey (DM):

So we are now officially initiative. Each square is five feet.

Nathan (Stump):

Five feet.

Corey (DM):

You have your bicycle?

Corey (DM):

Oh, Dungeon master. Oh, Dungeon Master.

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

What are the five things in the middle?

Corey (DM):

Those are the five minions that arrived out of the floor. Yeah, they look like little jesters.

Corey (DM):

Got it. Oh. Oh, wow. Oh, got it. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

All right, so, Stump, what would you like to do? We are officially in combat.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, I'm gonna go. So there's, like, a narrow path leading up to the main big circle where all the water is.

I'm gonna go about halfway, like, here back one, because I think that's 50ft.

Corey (DM):

So that'd be 5, 10, 15. That's 25ft.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm still counting. Intense. Yeah, Go forward a couple. Actually, back one.

Corey (DM):

So that's 30.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

I want to post up right there.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

I want to enter a rage.

Corey (DM):

Nice. Okay, so bonus action rage.

So bonus action rage means now you have resistance to physical damage, and you also can add a plus two to any damage roll that you do.

Nathan (Stump):

I would like to. I think I want to, like, ready myself.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm just posted up. That's all I'm doing.

Corey (DM):

No, not ready connection or anything. Just standing there. Just. Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

I mean, like, if a guy comes up to me and attacks me, can I. Like my readied action being like I. I finger gun them?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, absolutely. Now, remember, remember, finger guns are ranged. They shoot magic missiles. They're ranged weapons.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, so these guys the minions. The one that's directly in front of me, bottom left in the middle. Okay, I'm gonna finger them.

Nathan (Stump):

So.

Corey (DM):

So.

Corey (DM):

So you have six shots total. So I'll let you decide how many you want to shoot. You can shoot all six. I'm gonna let you do this. You can shoot all six.

So once you shoot one, you can shoot two, but once you shoot six, your rings are done.

Nathan (Stump):

Stomp is like. He's not sure about the finger guns yet, but he wants to try it out. So he holds up just one, points it at the guy ahead of him, and he says,.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump, going to shoot you now.

Nathan (Stump):

Two plus one. Three.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, that feel kind of weird.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

And it's only plus one. Yeah, that's plus four. Oh, but you have five.

Nathan (Stump):

D4 plus one.

Corey (DM):

Oh, D4 plus one.

Nick (E'Louie):

Nice.

Nathan (Stump):

And I could have done a lot more, but I just kind of want to see what. How this goes.

Corey (DM):

Everyone's gonna do. Yeah. He gets shot. He's a little jester. A little, like, court jester is what he looks like. And he kind of shakes really quick and makes like that.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, whoops.

Corey (DM):

And then just stands there. He's still. He's still alive.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, this guy. Look now, Stump, look. He look kind of like clown.

Corey (DM):

Eloise, you are up. Yep. You are this blue face on the map.

Corey (DM):

Oh, I see. Eloid, I would like to. Is it an action or bonus action to open the chest?

Corey (DM):

I will not count that as an action or a bonus action. It will be opening chests are free actions. I will give you.

Corey (DM):

Okay, easy. Do you think you'll open? Well, I guess. Okay, this, like, right now. So let's. I wanted, like, I think I'm going.

Lauren (EZ):

To leave it because we have. I have a short sword, so I'm going to try that out.

Corey (DM):

Why would you not continue using your shard sword? I actually like my chainsaw. I just kind of was curious what's in there. Oh, but I have other ideas for the chest, by the way. Okay, so Eloi said.

Eloise says, well, I guess the show is on. And he starts running down the alley.

Corey (DM):

So not gonna open up.

Corey (DM):

Not gonna open the chest.

Corey (DM):

How far are you going?

Corey (DM):

He has 40. He's gonna throw a dagger at the Minion.

Corey (DM):

Sure. You can do the one Stump hit already or do the one above Stump to hit the lower one. Or you can hit the one above it.

Corey (DM):

Eloise gonna hit the lower one.

Corey (DM):

All right, roll an attack roll.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, good. Stump will warm him up for you.

Corey (DM):

Okay, it's going to be a 17.

Corey (DM):

Oh, that definitely hits.

Corey (DM):

All right, and then we've got a 1D6 plus 4. So it's gonna be a 2 and 4. So that'd be 6 damage.

Corey (DM):

6. All right, so as you throw your dagger, it hits his jester. Same thing. He goes. And you killed the little jester.

Nathan (Stump):

You killed the clown.

Nick (E'Louie):

Didn't know it's gonna kill him.

Corey (DM):

Not like that.

Nathan (Stump):

This is sad.

Corey (DM):

Then opposite of clowns then. So he pulled. So as he's running, though, he is carrying this chainsaw sword in his left hand.

And so he pulled the dagger and tossed it with his right. And as a bonus action, I can try to crank this bad boy up,.

Lauren (EZ):

Crank that bad boy.

Corey (DM):

And if I roll a nine or.

Corey (DM):

Below, it does not crank.

Corey (DM):

It does not crank. And if I roll a 10 or more.

Corey (DM):

Now, remember, I did say you can get the first crank free.

Corey (DM):

Oh, first crank free.

Corey (DM):

I'm all about free crank, man.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so. All right, cool.

Corey (DM):

So he cranks it. All right, you were at level one on your rock and roll. You can keep using it, but if you want to level it up, you can crank it again, you know?

Corey (DM):

Gotcha. I do want to add a D6. Can I have it? Could I borrow a D6? Easy slash.

Nathan (Stump):

Lauren, I want to point out how similar this technology is to a lawnmower. That's interesting.

Corey (DM):

That is interesting.

Nathan (Stump):

It's a little interesting.

Corey (DM):

Oh, easy. Accidentally handed me a tiny little dice. That makes me feel insignificant.

Corey (DM):

The minion's turn. So the little jesters, it is their turn. So they're gonna go five, ten, fifteen. One's gonna go to this mowing dad. Five, ten, fifteen.

One's gonna go to the miss mowing dad. One's gonna go to this mo and dad. And five.

Corey (DM):

Damn.

Nick (E'Louie):

Not the mowing dads.

Corey (DM):

And one's going to come to you, Eloi. All right, so first they're going to attack the mowing dads. First one misses, second one hits.

So the dad on the north side of the ridge here, you see this little minion you like, you know, they don't have anything in their hands, but as this gets closer, you notice that, like, its jaw opens and these sharp teeth just sink out of its mouth, and it just starts to, like, gnaw at the leg of this dad.

Nathan (Stump):

Not funny at all.

Corey (DM):

Oh, he only rolled two damage on that. Sorry.

Lauren (EZ):

Starts gnawing at the leg.

Corey (DM):

The leg nars. By the way, Eluie is having real issues with actually just killing this minion and just thinking, you know, I didn't ask to be Put in this situation.

Corey (DM):

Oh, the other minion.

Lauren (EZ):

Ethical.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, it's a total ethical moral dilemma.

Corey (DM):

A 16 year AC.

Corey (DM):

It is a 16.

Corey (DM):

All right, so it meets it. So it is going.

This little minion is going to open its jaw and I mean the closer up this minion is like it looks way scarier than it did that first one. That was gnawing on the mowing. Dad. Its head even gets a little bigger in its mouth, Ma. Just opens up. These teeth are sharp like piranha style freaks.

And it's going for your legs. Oh, that is six points of damage.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm sorry.

Corey (DM):

No, no. So E. Louis has a deflect attack. Anytime he's hit, he can deflect attack up to a 1D10.

So he's going to roll the 1D10 and if it gets to a zero, he could redirect the attack. Tell me how he's going to redirect some teeth though. So it's a four plus seven.

Nick (E'Louie):

He's a monk.

Corey (DM):

You deflected all of it.

Corey (DM):

So somehow when this thing comes back to bite E. Louis, he deflects it. And as this jester looking minion bites, he takes the top of his head and he bends it down to his crotch.

Corey (DM):

Down to Eloise crotch?

Corey (DM):

No, no, to its own crotch. And with the teeth, the minion has to roll a Dexterity saving throw of 12 or takes 2d6 plus 4 damage.

Corey (DM):

I'll allow that, I guess.

Nathan (Stump):

Sure didn't realize these minions were missing some ribs.

Corey (DM):

Seven.

Corey (DM):

Seven. Okay, so it doesn't. So basically they're gonna take 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 plus 8 18.

Corey (DM):

You see this thing bite its own crotch and it bites it so hard it curls up into a ball and dies.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump says ill we.

Nathan (Stump):

What the. What was that?

Corey (DM):

Oh yeah, he tried to bite me.

Nick (E'Louie):

Didn't you see him there?

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, but that was crazy.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, he got a little down himself, I guess.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, that little minion disappears as it. Or disappears. It dies.

Lauren (EZ):

I like that it disappears. It's just.

Nathan (Stump):

He ate himself.

Corey (DM):

Ate himself.

Corey (DM):

Easy.

Corey (DM):

You're up.

Corey (DM):

I don't.

Lauren (EZ):

How do you. How do you top that so easy?

Corey (DM):

You are near a chest and then you also can go down the stairs. You can go across bridge.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so I have a movement of 30. So I would like to go towards something to fight.

Corey (DM):

2530 Is right there. You can dash and not do an action and keep going further.

Lauren (EZ):

Man, I wish the things were all in the middle. Cuz I have a. Like a. Like a poop cone.

Corey (DM):

You can get to you can get to the one next to the smelling dad. If you dash, you just can't attack. But you'll be there next to him for the next turn.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so let me see here.

Corey (DM):

You'll get right there if you wanted to.

Lauren (EZ):

It tells me that you can use an action to make this sword spray. Spray hot liquid feces in a 30 foot cone. So would that mean that it's like if it's a spray, then it's 30 foot cone.

Corey (DM):

Is it literally just makes a cone as it sprays out?

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. So I don't need to be up next to them to do this.

Corey (DM):

You just need to be 30ft away so we can hit it at the end of it. But remember, the first is going to be a five foot cone. Then it goes to. It keeps spreading out.

So the further you are, the 30 foot will get more people around him as well.

Nathan (Stump):

I believe they call it crop dusting in the biz.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, but if I were to do that from where I was, it would also get.

Corey (DM):

Remember that's an action. So you can't do it right now if you use the action or dash to get.

Lauren (EZ):

Well, I didn't say that I was going to use the action to dash. You did that.

Corey (DM):

I'm just saying. I'm just letting you know where you would go though.

Lauren (EZ):

But if I did it there, then it would also affect.

Corey (DM):

Yep. It would affect your boys.

Lauren (EZ):

The boys. Okay, just in case this affects any.

Nathan (Stump):

Decision that you're gonna make, stump plans to go back to get that chest.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, okay. Cool. All right. Well, I guess I'm just gonna get a little closer, but not right up on it.

Corey (DM):

This is all your movement. Do you want to do your dash?

Corey (DM):

I'll do my.

Lauren (EZ):

I'll do dash, but I'm not.

Corey (DM):

How many more feet?

Lauren (EZ):

So just move up to the circle. Keep going, keep going, keep going. Right there. I'll go there. It's 25 and then I will. Can I. I can't. Ready in action. Right? Okay. All right.

Corey (DM):

So I'm just gonna just chill there.

Lauren (EZ):

Wave my stinky sword.

Corey (DM):

All right. It is now that smile on my.

Corey (DM):

Smell around is now the dad.

Corey (DM):

Dad's turn. This dad's gonna go. Or he's all. All three dads are. They have a minion on them. So except for this one down here.

So this one down here, I'm gonna say he's gonna kind of. He sees his buds right. Getting attacked. So he's gonna 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25, 30. So these two dads on the Left side of the circular platform.

They have a minion within their grasp. And so both of these dads are going to attack this one minion.

The first dad, I will tell you, once they roll, the first dad misses, the second dad gets a crit.

Lauren (EZ):

Wow.

Corey (DM):

So what you see is the first dad, what he does is you see him, he pulls out like a. It's basically a stick that's about a couple feet long. Okay.

And so when he's holding this stick in the middle and you see him, like, twist his hand in a weird way and it extends on both sides to, like a bo staff.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

But as it extends to a bow staff, it also kind of clicks over on one end and this string pops out. And the string begins to spin very, very fast.

Nathan (Stump):

It's a weed whacker.

Corey (DM):

My gosh, It's a weed whacking.

Corey (DM):

And it's spinning really fast. And he takes that and he swings it at the guy and misses. And he just hears. Nice, but misses.

Lauren (EZ):

That's scary.

Corey (DM):

Yes, it really hurt. And the second dad, he pulls out these two blades from his back, like on his. On the belt.

He pulls them out and he, like hooks them together and they make this, like, these clippers.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, these weapons are awesome.

Corey (DM):

And so basically two daggers that he has now formed into hedge clippers. And he goes to, like, go for this head and he rolls a crit.

Lauren (EZ):

Wow.

Corey (DM):

So he gets to.

Corey (DM):

He's just gonna do doubles loppers for nothing.

Corey (DM):

And that's 17 points of damage with his clippers. And you just see this head come right off of this little jester. Minion falls and his teeth, like, go back in and the body just falls over.

Lauren (EZ):

Was that Timothy? Clean cut?

Corey (DM):

No, Timothy. That's not here. That was the other group.

Corey (DM):

Oh.

Lauren (EZ):

Because he did a clean cut, the.

Corey (DM):

Other two dads now have some minions with them. That was not the right roll. Oh, my gosh. I rolled another NAT20 for one of them. One of them missed the other one, Daddy.

So one of them is just like boxing. He's just using his fists. Yeah, he's missing back and forth. The other one, you see, same thing.

He pulls two blades out, hooks them up into hedge clippers. These ones are just a little bit longer. Same thing with a 20.

Corey (DM):

He just goes.

Corey (DM):

Goes chopping right at the head. Same thing. Head clean right off. The body falls right off. And now this one is dead. And this one is dead. And they're feeling pretty good. They're like.

Corey (DM):

They're looking at each other like we're doing it.

Corey (DM):

We're doing it. And it is now Blazer's turn.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

So you see him over there just laughing for a little bit. And then what you see is you see him reach into his chest, pocket it, and he pulls out a deck of cards.

And this deck of cards, he begins spreading through him. He pulls a few out and begins doing some card flourishes, doing some cardistry with one hand with these cards.

And you see him throw one right to the center of the map. And as it goes a long ways. And as it goes poof. He has now appeared in the center.

Corey (DM):

He's misty, stepping straight up, teleported over there.

Corey (DM):

And he makes his way. Actually, he's just gonna stay right here before. He hasn't used any of his movement yet. What I am going to do is I have a deck of cards here.

Oh, cool.

Corey (DM):

With the cards.

Nathan (Stump):

Props.

Corey (DM):

I do have props. He has special magical effects, depending on what suit you draw.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

And so for each of his actions that I deem him using a magical effect, you will draw a card. And depending on the suit is depending on the magic I will use.

So, Eloise, since you were standing here or sitting here next to me, I will let you draw the first card.

Corey (DM):

I love drawing cards. So does he, Louie, it's a. Oh, can I say.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, you can say what? Suited?

Corey (DM):

Keep it to myself.

Corey (DM):

Nope, tell me.

Corey (DM):

It's a nine of clubs.

Corey (DM):

Clubs. Okay, nine of clubs.

Corey (DM):

What do you mean?

Corey (DM):

Oh, gosh, I can do something really bad, but I'm not gonna do right now.

Corey (DM):

So.

Corey (DM):

Okay, I'd say bring the heat. Let's see. You see him take three cards from the deck, and he begins flourishing. Three cards.

And you see them all turn to pointed darts, missiles, if you will.

Nathan (Stump):

And they're magical, aren't they?

Corey (DM):

And they're magical.

Corey (DM):

Great.

Corey (DM):

And he just shoots boom, boom, boom as one flies to each three of you, causing.

Corey (DM):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

And he's casting this at a higher level. So you're all going to take 2d4 per damage. So first one is easy. You are taking seven damage.

Lauren (EZ):

Say what?

Corey (DM):

Stump, you are taking six damage. And Eloise, you are taking five damage. All right, and then what he is going to do now, he does get two attacks. So he is going to.

He is still close to. He's gonna use a little bit of movement here. And he's gonna go up to one of these dads because they're in his way.

And you see that same deck of cards. He does that thing where you, like, shuffle them from one hand to the other. Like. Like really big.

And they all actually connect and they make this whip and they, like, start to glow. And he's swinging these cards around and he. He, like, whips it at one of these dads.

Nathan (Stump):

Is it bad that I'm like, okay, if we lose to this guy?

Lauren (EZ):

It is.

Corey (DM):

It is cool.

Nathan (Stump):

It's so cool.

Corey (DM):

Stumps, like, wow.

Corey (DM):

He actually rolled bad, though, on that one.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, the podcast isn't over yet.

Corey (DM):

Okay, starting a new round. We are going back to the top of the order is Stump.

But really quick, before we start, you hear a noise, a little bit of a rumble and coming out of the ground.

Corey (DM):

What?

Corey (DM):

Now you see more of the Jester minions.

Nathan (Stump):

Course, they were way too easy, of course.

Corey (DM):

Spread out across the map.

Corey (DM):

Dungeon Master.

Corey (DM):

Yes, Do.

Corey (DM):

How big are the chests? The chests, how large are they?

Lauren (EZ):

That's inappropriate.

Corey (DM):

I need to know, can you give me a size level from A to D?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, I would say. I mean, they're like, you know, like the. The trunks at a foot of a bed, right? That's how big they are.

Corey (DM):

Okay. The trunks have. At the foot of a bed. Okay, so, like, big enough for, like, wardrobe. Yeah, so they're big. Okay.

Corey (DM):

All right, Stump, you were up.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, Stump wants to go back to that first chest and open it.

Corey (DM):

Elui.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait, wait, wait. Does it replace the weapon I have? Is that how it works?

Corey (DM):

No, no.

Corey (DM):

You still keep your weapon.

Nathan (Stump):

I get to decide.

Corey (DM):

You can keep your weapon plus a new one. So you use whatever you want until this.

Corey (DM):

Before you get there, Eloise says, stomp.

Nick (E'Louie):

Bring a chest here. Don't open it.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, you want stomp ring chest.

Nick (E'Louie):

Bring it to hit her.

Nathan (Stump):

Maybe Stump can throw just.

Corey (DM):

I won't be mad if you don't open it, but that's what Eloi yells at you.

Nathan (Stump):

Hey, can you catch chest?

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Throw it here.

Nathan (Stump):

I don't know how far I can throw it, but Stump's gonna attempt to throw.

Corey (DM):

Don't think you can throw it. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35. I don't think you can throw it 50ft. Can I throw it 45ft?

Nick (E'Louie):

Halfway?

Nathan (Stump):

If I roll good enough.

Corey (DM):

I mean, maybe it's got some way, but scoot it now.

Nathan (Stump):

I just like. You can set up a bit.

Corey (DM):

Now. Here's the thing. If you throw it, though, and it.

Nathan (Stump):

Hits, it could pop open and that's okay, right?

Corey (DM):

Because then the weapon starts.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, there's a timer.

Corey (DM):

If it doesn't fall out, there's a timer that starts before it disappears.

Nathan (Stump):

Could I slide it really hard, like A kick slide.

Corey (DM):

You know, I could kick slide.

Corey (DM):

Yes, but you won't be able to slide it as far as a throw.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, well, I think I might do that and then just go for the other chest and you can come back and get that one.

Nathan (Stump):

What do you think about that?

Nathan (Stump):

You like that?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, that's fine. Or. Well, that's okay if you want to open one. I mean, you do.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, I do, but I can go to a different one. It's down the stairs.

Corey (DM):

Oh, that were there. Yeah. And maybe if I roll there, two more.

Nathan (Stump):

Decent distance.

Corey (DM):

Cool.

Corey (DM):

Yep. It's up to you.

Nathan (Stump):

So that's what I would like to do.

Corey (DM):

So you can try to slide the chest down the bridge. And you want to take your way down these stairs to the actual arena floor.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes, but I will probably just make it to the top of the stairs because I've just so much my movement so far. But, yeah, that is what I would like to do.

Corey (DM):

All right, well, I need you to make me a strength check to see how far you can push this. So I want to first see what your strength score is.

Nathan (Stump):

My strength?

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So roll, then add your strength.

Corey (DM):

It's gonna be amazing.

Nathan (Stump):

Plus four. That's what I said earlier.

Corey (DM):

Get this thing all the way down.

Corey (DM):

So D20 plus 4.

Nathan (Stump):

It is a plus 4.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nick (E'Louie):

Dang it.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, that's a 7 plus 4 and 11.

Corey (DM):

You push it 10ft.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, that's head. That's better than nothing.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump.

Nathan (Stump):

Slip hands. But there you go.

Corey (DM):

5, 10, 15, 20 It is. So you can make it to here if that's where you want to go.

Nathan (Stump):

And then I move down to the top of the stairs.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

And I'm eyeballing that chest down there.

Corey (DM):

All right, Eloise, what are we doing here?

Corey (DM):

Are we trying to take these. This dude out?

Lauren (EZ):

I just really want to use my. My, like, poop stick.

Corey (DM):

So where are you?

Lauren (EZ):

I'm right next to the guy. So I'm. I'm ready to chart all over the place.

Corey (DM):

All right, what do you do?

Corey (DM):

I think I know what's gonna happen next. I'm gonna.

Lauren (EZ):

I would get out of the way if I was you.

Corey (DM):

No, I'm. I'm going in.

Corey (DM):

Going in where?

Corey (DM):

I want to go. Hit the captain.

Corey (DM):

So you tell Stump to leave the chest for you, then you abandon that idea.

Nick (E'Louie):

Don't do that.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump's like, what?

Corey (DM):

Okay, I won't open it. And then you're like, I forget it.

Corey (DM):

I'm just gonna leave.

Corey (DM):

You gotta trust me on this one because you're gonna have to come back up there. Will Stump be able to jump up and over all this stuff?

Corey (DM):

No, not the water.

Corey (DM):

You'll be able to jump over to come back up.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

I'll go down, open that, come back, and then I guess we'll carry the chest to you.

Corey (DM):

Yes. Man, that first chest could have had the most amazing thing that would heal you out.

Corey (DM):

Right now, one is probably up there, but I bet there's better stuff.

Corey (DM):

After the.

Corey (DM):

He's going to go in there and.

Corey (DM):

He's small, so you want to go.

Corey (DM):

Like he's a somersault and an aerial, actually. And then he's going to jump at.

Corey (DM):

This.

Corey (DM):

Blazer and he's got this chainsaw revved up right now. And if. If he rolls another, then I think.

Corey (DM):

He can crit at like a 19 or something.

Corey (DM):

Let's see what happens here. Creatures hit with this sword have their speed reduced by 10ft until the start of the next turn.

You know, I don't really know if that's gonna be worth my bonus. That's okay. So I'm not gonna crank it up. I'm already jazzing. And he's gonna swing this chainsaw sword.

Corey (DM):

All right, roll a. I will let you use dexterity since you're a monk.

Nathan (Stump):

Nice.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you'll roll the D20, plus your dexterity.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Sweet.

Nathan (Stump):

Come on.

Corey (DM):

That is rough.

Nathan (Stump):

It looked like it bumped your figure there.

Corey (DM):

Oh, yeah.

Nathan (Stump):

I don't know if that was fair.

Corey (DM):

It looks like it hit the table on accident, and so I probably need to re roll this. It hit the table, unfortunately, landed on it spinning, then stopped, and I've got a plus six.

Lauren (EZ):

That's not. That's pretty good.

Nathan (Stump):

Insane.

Corey (DM):

It's 11.

Corey (DM):

So is that your dexterity plus proficiency, or is that just your dexterity because you wouldn't be proficient with the sword necessarily? Well, I guess we could consider it a martial weapon.

Corey (DM):

So the description said it could be any sword, so I chose short sword.

Corey (DM):

Perfect, then. Yep. You can do the plus six then. You got it.

Corey (DM):

Okay. So, yeah, so I still got a whopping 11, which I'm sure totally hits.

Corey (DM):

This totally misses.

Nick (E'Louie):

Son of a.

Lauren (EZ):

I don't think Eloise knows what to do with this kind of power.

Corey (DM):

So, yeah, it's like. He's like. And then. So for a bonus action, I'm gonna go ahead and do Fury of Blows, which allows me to hit to use a focus point.

So after he totally whiffs it with this chainsaw thing that he can't hold, he promptly sets it down.

Nick (E'Louie):

Damn Chainsaw.

Corey (DM):

Okay. And then we're gonna do Fury of blows.

Nathan (Stump):

Cool.

Corey (DM):

So that is 2d 20s plus 6 to see if I hit. Okay. Awesome. Rolled sixes on both. And they're both 12.

Nick (E'Louie):

Son of us both.

Corey (DM):

Miss. Maybe you're nervous or it's performance anxiety.

Corey (DM):

Something is throwing me off as a.

Nick (E'Louie):

Mom for a loop.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Nick (E'Louie):

What is this cre. This thing?

Corey (DM):

You know, it vibrates. So maybe, like, the vibration in your hands is kind of thrown off a little bit.

Corey (DM):

All right, so it's a bunch big swing and a miss.

Corey (DM):

Yep, it is. Now the minions turns. All right, easy. You're gonna get attacked by this little jester of a minion.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

That is a 21.

Corey (DM):

Oh, gosh, no. Yeah, it doesn't hit.

Corey (DM):

I'm sure that hits you. Well, that's a level or for damage, as this little gesture means at your ankles. It, like, finds the open spot.

Lauren (EZ):

I wonder if it's flirting with me as it's doing that.

Corey (DM):

That's what I'm thinking it looks like. But she's, like, winking while it's, like, gnawing on your leg. All right, miss on the. Miss on the other. Dad.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh.

Corey (DM):

I rolled terrible against the dads. The dads are doing okay.

Lauren (EZ):

They're doing okay.

Corey (DM):

It is now easy's turn. Easy. What you got?

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so I just really want to use poop stick, so that's what I'm gonna do.

Corey (DM):

And you have the opportunity now.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. So I'm right there. Let me pull up the stats. Okay, so there's two things on here.

Corey (DM):

It says there's stanchion chart spree.

Lauren (EZ):

Matter of factly.

Nathan (Stump):

You can't say so deadpan, like.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, it's just stanchions and buzz bray.

Corey (DM):

So actually, stench triggers right now because there is a creature five feet away from you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So any creature other than you that starts its turn within five feet. Oh, that. So that should have happened, actually, last term, but we'll go ahead and do it now. The one that bit you. No, it didn't start its turn 5ft.

So sorry. No, that doesn't take effect. It started to turn away and walked up to you. So you.

Sorry, you can't do stench until his next turn, but you can do shark spray.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so that's what I'm gonna do.

Corey (DM):

Can you please describe shark spray for us?

Lauren (EZ):

So I. What it says hot liquid feces, 30 foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed. A DC dexterity saving throw.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm having, like, a visceral reaction to feces cone. I hate that phrase.

Corey (DM):

All right, who are you pointing this at?

Lauren (EZ):

Obviously Blazer.

Corey (DM):

Okay, but. Well, where are you positioned?

Corey (DM):

So if you shoot this at Blazer,.

Corey (DM):

You're either gonna hit the.

Corey (DM):

You are going to hit both Blazer and Eloi.

Lauren (EZ):

I told him that I was gonna do this.

Corey (DM):

But if you shoot it slightly, if.

Corey (DM):

You shoot it up, you will get the dad and Blazer, you'll get the.

Corey (DM):

Dad Blazer, and maybe that other one.

Corey (DM):

You will definitely get this other. You're gonna get both dads, Blazer and the Minion if you shoot straight up. Okay, so you'll be hurting the dads and the Minion.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, you know,.

Corey (DM):

With poop.

Corey (DM):

I'm telling you, dads have dealt with poop.

Corey (DM):

That's true.

Lauren (EZ):

I mean, manure further.

Corey (DM):

So that what you want to do?

Lauren (EZ):

Yes. So. And it says.

Corey (DM):

So DC 15 constitution saving throws.

Lauren (EZ):

I gain a plus 2 bonus to attack.

Corey (DM):

Okay, well, you don't have to make a damage you don't have to do. So since they have to saving throw. Yeah, since it's a saving throw, you don't have to roll anything. So the dads look at you and they're like.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait, what are you.

Corey (DM):

What are you doing? What?

Corey (DM):

No, as this just. Kona shoots everywhere. All right, so first we will start with the dads. One dad misses, One dad makes it. Yes, The Minion makes it. What is it?

They take a half one.

Lauren (EZ):

What are they rolling?

Corey (DM):

D20.

Corey (DM):

One roll to 18. One roll to 18 and one roll to 10.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, gotcha.

Corey (DM):

So I will say they take half damage, but they won't be coded. So. And then now Blazer is going to roll. She has a plus 5. 15 Plus 5 is 20. So he also makes it up.

Corey (DM):

Okay, now let's just rope everywhere. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Roll your damage. Okay, one dad's gonna take full damage. One dad's gonna take half damage, and then Blazer take half damage.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so it says to do 3D6.

Corey (DM):

God, that is some poopy damage. That is a 3D6 on some poo poo.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, you. Thank you. I rolled a 1, a 2, and a 5, so an 8. So 8 damage for the dad Dominion. The dad. And the coated creature exudes a horrible stench for an hour.

Corey (DM):

Okay, okay, okay.

Lauren (EZ):

And then four damage to the.

Corey (DM):

The Blazer and the others.

Lauren (EZ):

Man, that's really like.

Nathan (Stump):

You're really ruining this guy's whole fabulous vibe.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, absolutely.

Corey (DM):

Poo poo on you.

Corey (DM):

Okay, it is. Now that.

Lauren (EZ):

Wait, hold on.

Corey (DM):

Oh, sorry.

Corey (DM):

Go ahead.

Lauren (EZ):

Just wait a second.

Corey (DM):

Oh, gosh.

Nathan (Stump):

There's more. Oh, you thought we were done with poop.

Lauren (EZ):

I have action surge.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay. So I will do that, and I want to give it one more shot.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my God.

Corey (DM):

Okay. You're gonna do the same thing?

Lauren (EZ):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

The poop spray.

Nathan (Stump):

Hey, sometimes it's like that. You think you're done, and then another.

Corey (DM):

Way, a little more. Hopefully you've waited to make sure they.

Corey (DM):

All fail their saving throws.

Nathan (Stump):

Yay.

Corey (DM):

The dad's like,.

Nick (E'Louie):

Not again.

Corey (DM):

Only one of them was covered. The other one, like, didn't quite get.

Corey (DM):

Covered in his gargling.

Lauren (EZ):

Are they, like, barfing?

Corey (DM):

They're about to be now, because you're about to get another coding, and this time, Blazer's like, no, Just goes everywhere, and it splashes all over them.

Nick (E'Louie):

Is.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, let's see. So this. This is better. So I can't do math. 13.

Corey (DM):

Nice.

Corey (DM):

So they all took 13. So you killed the dads. The minions and hurt.

Corey (DM):

The dads are not dead.

Corey (DM):

I have goodness.

Lauren (EZ):

I have stinky for two hours.

Corey (DM):

You roll to see how long they're stinky. Oh, my gosh.

Corey (DM):

They're both, like, laying on the ground just, like, vomiting and retching. Blazer is, like, a little bit, and he's starting to, like, try to brush himself off.

Corey (DM):

Oh, his jacket.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, it is, like, cover. He. He actually takes his jacket off at.

Lauren (EZ):

This point, and I, like, stand with my hands on my hips.

Corey (DM):

And you dip.

Corey (DM):

You're so proud, and I'm really proud.

Lauren (EZ):

Do you not? And you don't smell any of this?

Corey (DM):

No. Well, I'm. I'm watching it all on my tiptoes with my hands back behind my shoulder, like, whoa.

Corey (DM):

All right, it is now Blazer's turn the world. Oh, sorry. Are you gonna move it all? Are you gonna stay where you're at?

Lauren (EZ):

I'm gonna stay right there, baby.

Corey (DM):

All right.

Blazer starts to, like, clean himself off, and he, like, reaches in his pocket, cleans his face off with a handkerchief, and then he reaches down, pulls his deck of cards out.

Corey (DM):

He's like.

Lauren (EZ):

Is he gonna have, like, disadvantage?

Corey (DM):

Easy roll. Grab me a card out of here.

Lauren (EZ):

Will he have disadvantage? I don't know.

Corey (DM):

We're gonna smell wherever he goes for two hours. We got that going. What'd you pull?

Lauren (EZ):

A nine of clubs?

Corey (DM):

Nine of spades.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, okay. I was gonna say that'd be the same exact nines of clubs. Still very close.

Corey (DM):

Oh, perfect.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, really?

Corey (DM):

Yep. So you see him pull this card out, and you see the nine of club begin. Or nine of spades. Begins to shimmer in the sky.

And he likes, like, pulls it back down. And you just see this light just kind of shimmer as his body goes invisible.

Corey (DM):

Oh, bad.

Corey (DM):

But so here's the thing. He forgot. He's covered in. Completely invisible. But you just see these, like, splotches of crap just floating in the air. He did not realize that.

And you see, he begins to walk to the south a little bit, and he's passing actually both easy. And that's an attack. So since he thought he was invisible, but he didn't realize the poo is still there. So you see?

So both of you taking attack on me. So both of you make an attack of opportunity, please.

Lauren (EZ):

So I have a question.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

If I do an attack of opportunity, is that my reaction then. Then I cannot deflect attack later.

Corey (DM):

Oh, you've already used the reaction.

Corey (DM):

You're correct.

Corey (DM):

Well, I haven't used the reaction.

Corey (DM):

You get one reaction.

Corey (DM):

I can either do the attack of opportunity or the deflect.

Corey (DM):

Oh. So, okay, if you do your attack of opportunity right now and react, you can't use it until the start of your next turn. So during stump is next.

So there's only one player next. So stump is next and then you. And it resets. You might as well take it.

Corey (DM):

Okay, got it. Thank you.

Nick (E'Louie):

Thank you for clarification.

Corey (DM):

And.

Corey (DM):

19.

Corey (DM):

Oh, that hits easy.

Lauren (EZ):

I'm like, more poop.

Corey (DM):

No, it's got to be a melee attack.

Lauren (EZ):

This isn't melee.

Corey (DM):

The spray is not. You can hit it with a sword. Poop everywhere.

Corey (DM):

It's strange how excited you were.

Corey (DM):

You can hit him with the sword if you want. Just like.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, all right.

Corey (DM):

So roll a strength attack. Roll. So roll attack. Add your strength bonus.

Lauren (EZ):

So that is a 16. And then I have a plus two.

Corey (DM):

Okay, perfect.

Nathan (Stump):

Then.

Corey (DM):

Yes. So both hit. So both of you roll damage. So, Lauren, you have a short sword, which is D6 damage.

So you can roll a D6 plus your strength modifier for damage.

Nathan (Stump):

What is your strength modifier? You said it earlier, but I forgot.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, say that again.

Corey (DM):

Since you're using a short sword, you hit. Your damage is 1d6, plus your strength modifier.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, so it's.

Corey (DM):

And Eloi, what damage did you roll?

Corey (DM):

So we did a six, but we got another one D6 to roll. Well, I'm sorry. Rolled a two plus four would be six damage.

But we had another D6 because I got this thing cranked up and we rolled a whopping one, so seven.

Corey (DM):

Seven easy.

Lauren (EZ):

And then mine was three plus three.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Ooh, it is getting tough here. So we had a start of a new round. So you're now in round three. Same thing. You start to hear shaking.

And this time, is there any, like,.

Lauren (EZ):

Poop effect when I hit them with my sword? Is that the.

Corey (DM):

I mean, it just. You hear. It's kind of like a squishy thing, but nothing, like crazy.

Lauren (EZ):

It's a squishy.

Corey (DM):

Is it like a. Or is it more like a.

Lauren (EZ):

Like a. Like a trumpet?

Nathan (Stump):

It's a challenging audio, this episode. What's happening?

Corey (DM):

So you hear as this wall of fire shoots up on either side of the bridges. It is now cutting off Stump from the rest of the party.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, no. Why'd you go over there?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, man.

Corey (DM):

No new minions have appeared, but these walls of fire now cutting off the bridges that connect to the central island of this arena.

Nathan (Stump):

Not good.

Corey (DM):

And Stump, you are up.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, what are you gonna do?

Nathan (Stump):

Stump is like, whoa, lots of fire all of a sudden. Also, it smelled really bad.

Corey (DM):

Stump, I will say I'm gonna do this, Like, I'm gonna change this up a little bit, since you are technically out of the battle area.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

Because you cannot get to anybody. Like, you were completely blocked off.

Nathan (Stump):

That's right.

Corey (DM):

You're technically out of initiative this turn.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, so what is quite a ways.

Corey (DM):

Away from all the other bad guys?

Nathan (Stump):

Does that mean I have, like, unlimited movement and stuff?

Corey (DM):

Yep.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, wow. Okay, well, first, go to the first chest.

Corey (DM):

What is the first chest? Green or the yellow?

Nathan (Stump):

South to the. It's like teal.

Corey (DM):

Okay, you go down to this chest down here at the bottom. So you're now on the actual arena floor, which is dirt, and there is, yes, a large wooden chest. By large, I mean, like, wardrobe chest.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay, I would like to open the chest.

Corey (DM):

Absolutely. Yeah. You just straight up open this chest. You flip the latch. Open it up. Up. Can you roll a dexterity saving throw for me, please?

Corey (DM):

Oh. What? I knew that was gonna be a good one.

Nathan (Stump):

I got plus two. That's an eight.

Corey (DM):

Wow.

Corey (DM):

Eight.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait, that's a six, right?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, that's a six.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

All right. So as you open it and you, like, go to look into it, you.

Lauren (EZ):

Sure.

Corey (DM):

As these darts just shoot right up. And unfortunately, all three of them clock right under your chin.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, that's bad.

Corey (DM):

Are you enraged?

Nathan (Stump):

I am.

Corey (DM):

Oh, so good for you. Because you're gonna take half damage, and.

Corey (DM):

That's a lot of dice.

Nathan (Stump):

Can I decide, after I know how much I'm getting hurt, whether or not I want to use stones? Endurance As a reaction or do I have to do that before?

Corey (DM):

You can choose to use it as a reaction once, baby. It's gonna be ones 1, 2, and a 3.

Nathan (Stump):

So 3.

Corey (DM):

Only 6 points damage. You're only taking 3 damage because of your rage.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, thank you.

Nathan (Stump):

You.

Nathan (Stump):

I. I am.

Lauren (EZ):

Rage.

Corey (DM):

Spinal Enrage.

Nathan (Stump):

I got.

Nathan (Stump):

I got 26 hit points right now.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so I will give you one more thing if you'd like to do before we go back into combat with the rest of the party.

Nathan (Stump):

Can I.

Corey (DM):

Wait, wait, he doesn't get to run up there and get that one too? And then come over and get this one?

Corey (DM):

Since he is technically out of initiative, I will let you do one more thing. Since you were kind of free on your own out here.

Nathan (Stump):

Basically everything I would like to do.

Corey (DM):

Let me know.

Nathan (Stump):

Know if it's possible, is go all the way up to the blue chest, to the blue chest, open that one, and then walk up, back onto the platform and just kind of get next to the yellow chest.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Where the hells are you? What are you doing over there?

Nick (E'Louie):

Bring that chest over here.

Corey (DM):

And that. That wall is high enough that you can't really see like that. Those walls of flame are super high. Okay. As you go to the blue chest,.

Nathan (Stump):

Please don't be another trap.

Corey (DM):

Are you opening this one?

Nathan (Stump):

Yes, I am.

Corey (DM):

All right, since you're not checking for traps before you open them, you're just straight up opening the chest.

Nathan (Stump):

Lightning never strike.

Corey (DM):

Ever?

Nathan (Stump):

I mean.

Corey (DM):

No, I'm just kidding. You open this chest, and inside you see it's not weapons. So, so far, you haven't found the weapons chest, but you do see this orb in there?

And there's, like, lightning, like, inside.

Nathan (Stump):

Whoa.

Corey (DM):

Speaking of lightning, this. This bottle. You found lightning in a bottle?

Corey (DM):

Basically.

Nathan (Stump):

Is it the Matrix?

Corey (DM):

It is not the Matrix, but there. There is a cork on top, and that's what you find is lightning in a bottle and a cork.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay, take the cork off.

Nathan (Stump):

All right.

Nathan (Stump):

Not yet.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay.

Nathan (Stump):

I might lob that at somebody. I'm going to go. Yeah, I'm good now that I have my lightning in a bottle.

Corey (DM):

So I'm gonna delete these two chests.

Lauren (EZ):

I wonder if it's like.

Nathan (Stump):

Hey, you know what? I've got our podcast.

Lauren (EZ):

What?

Nathan (Stump):

Lightning in a bottle. Come back to this chest. Can I open this one, too? It seems like a lot. Okay, thank you.

Corey (DM):

All right, I'll let you open the two. Okay, we're gonna now jump to Eloise.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so are you done? Wait. All right, so Elu's asking you to get the chest and bring it over.

Corey (DM):

Well, you can now. There's giant walls of fire in between. You can't see over there. You can't see where stump is. You don't know where he's at.

I mean, you can yell, and that's why.

Corey (DM):

Where are you when? But he's like, stop playing around.

Nathan (Stump):

Stop not playing.

Corey (DM):

I mean, you can yell, but you don't know exactly where he is. And, like, it's noisy, this fire, Right.

Corey (DM):

It's roaring, roaring flame.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you are now in the center of this arena on a platform that is blocked by two walls of fire. Yep.

Corey (DM):

It is you.

Corey (DM):

That. I mean, Blazer still here. There's a couple minions. The dads.

Lauren (EZ):

Dang it, Blazer.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so, yep, I'm going straight for the. I'm going straight for blazer.

Corey (DM):

All right.

Nick (E'Louie):

Get it.

Corey (DM):

The fire's blazing. Is that true, Blazer?

Lauren (EZ):

The fire is Blazer.

Corey (DM):

You can't get my jokes.

Corey (DM):

There's always a tie. What do you do? He gonna crack him. He gonna crack him.

Corey (DM):

Crackle like him.

Corey (DM):

He gonna crack down on the blazer with what?

Corey (DM):

With the chainsaw sword.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, he's gonna go over and.

Nick (E'Louie):

What is he gonna do?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, he's gonna go over with chainsaw sword. Yeah, he's gonna. He's gonna give this thing another ramp up. No, not gonna crank, I think. I think it's cranked up where it needs to be, actually.

It's in a really nice spot.

Corey (DM):

Are you level two right now on it?

Corey (DM):

And so. Yeah, but the next levels, I think.

I think he want the play here, because I can do another fury of blows, so I think I want to hold the bonus action for that. So he's gonna pick this. He's gonna pick this chainsaw sword up and run at him in a mad.

Nick (E'Louie):

Dash to cut and saw.

Corey (DM):

Absolutely.

Corey (DM):

And he's gonna roll.

Nick (E'Louie):

17.

Corey (DM):

17. That hits. Good job. All right, Roll that damage.

Nathan (Stump):

Thank you for the carry. Elui doing it.

Corey (DM):

It's been a pleasure doing the thing here. Doing the thing.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, it's not a over yet.

Corey (DM):

Not over yet. You're right. You're right, you're right.

Okay, so we're gonna do a three plus four is seven, and then we get an additional D6 because it is revved up, and that's gonna be a four. So we're gonna do an 11 damage on that.

Corey (DM):

Oh, okay. So this time when you hit blazer with it.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Like, the chainsaw actually cuts pretty deep. Ooh. Into him. And he. For the. Not really the First. Well, I guess it was the first time as far as, like, the stenchy crappy's covered in.

Oh, also, yeah, he's still invisible, but you still see the. The outline of the. The poo outline.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. Now it's just bloody poo.

Corey (DM):

So as you.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, as you do pump the brakes.

Corey (DM):

A little, you see feces and blood, but you also see his body reappear because he's taking damage now, you know, and you see him really wincing in pain like this cut deep. He is really just like. And he is not looking good right now.

Lauren (EZ):

He's probably gonna get an infection.

Corey (DM):

He's definitely gonna get an infection.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my God.

Corey (DM):

And this platform is slippery right now. And, like, this is hard to handle. Anything else you like to do? Eloi bonus action Fury.

Corey (DM):

I think we're gonna shoot for a bonus action. We're gonna do another fury of blows and see what happens. And I'm gonna. He's gonna do non lethal because he's a monk. He's not into killing stuff.

Yeah, but he's okay.

Corey (DM):

Try to knock him out. Basically.

Corey (DM):

He's gonna try to knock him out. All right, here we go.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump would appreciate that.

Corey (DM):

Wow. I got a crit and a 12.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh. All right.

Corey (DM):

How's the crit work?

Corey (DM):

So what I'm gonna do on this.

Corey (DM):

So.

Corey (DM):

So with my crits, what we're gonna do is we're gonna do three things. One is you're gonna take the full damage first, and then so, like, whatever your damage is, it'll be the full. Then you'll roll on the second.

So, you know, you know, you. Basically it's supposed to be double damage or double roll. So what is your damage type for what you're doing?

Corey (DM):

So damage is gonna be a. I'm so sorry. So on the hit, it's gonna be a 1D6 plus 4.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so 1D6 is plus 4 unarmed strike. Yep. So, so typically in, you know, crits, you. You can either roll and double the damage or you can roll twice and take that. So we're.

Instead of rolling twice, you're going to take the full damage on the first one, which is a six plus four. So that's 10 damage automatically. Then you're going to roll on the second one. So you roll the D6 plus four.

And then you get to pick an extra effect that I will let you make up on the spot as long as it sticks with storyline and flavor of what's happening. You can't just say a meteor falls out of the sky and destroys the arena.

But I will let you, within reason, add your own effect, and we will stick with it.

Nathan (Stump):

That is so cool.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so essentially what he's gonna do then. So, okay, so.

Corey (DM):

So 10 damage plus roll. Yeah, roll a six. Okay, four plus a four. So that's eight. So that's 18 damage total. And then. So he takes 18 damage.

And what is the extra effect you would like to happen.

Corey (DM):

In the. In hitting him? He.

Corey (DM):

So for an example, just say yes.

Nick (E'Louie):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

At this point, as has bad as hurt easy is. So you could even do something.

Like, at this point, like, since it makes sense, since he's so hurt, you could say the extra effect is he falls, hits his head, and he's actually knocked out.

Nathan (Stump):

Whoa.

Corey (DM):

So you can have that power since if it had, it can make sense. So since I already mentioned that he. He's very badly hurt at this point.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

It makes sense that that could be in the realm of possibility.

Corey (DM):

You could give him color because it's a crit.

Lauren (EZ):

Sorry, the organ trail.

Nathan (Stump):

He gets dysentery.

Corey (DM):

Yeah. So the first.

So basically he hits him with his hand, reaches behind his back, unclips the war gong off of his beer keg, and slams upside of the head and it's. And as falls over.

Lauren (EZ):

Can you please. Can you like, also throw a towel and be like, clean yourself up?

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So you all see as Elouie, you know, does this, his fur blows, his fists are going. And then you see him reach back, undo his gong. He smacks Blazer.

You just hear the dong, like he said, and it's kind of that slow motion where it's just like his body just begins to shake and like the old karate movies. And as he just crumbles to the ground. And you still want that to be non, lethal, correct?

Corey (DM):

Yeah, non.

Nick (E'Louie):

Lethal.

Corey (DM):

So he does not die, but he is knocked the out, man.

Corey (DM):

All right. Like, El is like, wow. Wow, that smells indeed.

Corey (DM):

And then you just hear as the fire drops.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, buddy.

Corey (DM):

You see that all the minions disappear, and you begin to hear from the stands.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, my gosh. What the.

Nathan (Stump):

Are we out of combat?

Corey (DM):

All the minions have disappeared. Blazer has is there knocked out, still on the ground. The fire is gone.

And you start to hear the crowdy roar and cheer at this event because a process server even was taking out. They. They just wanted to the fight. And yes, we are now technically out of initiative.

You have defeated the process server who was supposed to hand down punishment. And the. The way this works is you were able to defend Yourself against that punishment as you so rightfully did.

Thanks to Eloi and his crit and knocking him out.

Nick (E'Louie):

Justice has been served.

Lauren (EZ):

This is so funny that like you were like gone.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Lauren (EZ):

For most of the this, this fight that was against you.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump. Stump runs over and he's like, what, what happened?

Nathan (Stump):

Is he dead?

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, no, he's not dead, is he? He's just taken one to the head.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, good.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump goes up to him and kind of leans down and he's like, oh,.

Nathan (Stump):

He does smell really bad.

Nathan (Stump):

And he's kind of like, gets kind of close and he's like, Stump didn't.

Nathan (Stump):

No, Stumpy's sorry.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, he stands up and he's like,.

Nathan (Stump):

Well, that's enough of that.

Lauren (EZ):

Do you kiss his poopy forehead?

Nathan (Stump):

No.

Corey (DM):

No. That's a crazy thing to say. The weapons that you all had disappeared.

Corey (DM):

Oh, the chainsaw's gone.

Corey (DM):

The chainsaw's gone.

Nathan (Stump):

In the box, please.

Corey (DM):

The yellow box.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, I just wanted.

Corey (DM):

So the yellow, yellow box that you were about to open actually had Easy's weapons in them. Oh, okay, so you would have found Easy's weapons. I'm not gonna tell you. It was in the other boxes.

Two of them held, you know, Stumps weapons, one held Eloise weapons, and two were a surprise.

Nathan (Stump):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

Which would have been. But there was only one really rigged ones at you. It happened to be the first one you picked. Okay, so can I. Oh, go ahead, go ahead.

Corey (DM):

Can I tell you what I was just wanting to happen?

Nathan (Stump):

Sure.

Corey (DM):

I was hoping that you would bring the chest back.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh yeah.

Corey (DM):

And that we would open it and then shove Blazier into the chest.

Corey (DM):

Oh, so he would disappear and, and.

Corey (DM):

Keep the lid down.

Corey (DM):

It would disappear. Oh, that would have been pretty smart.

Nathan (Stump):

That's genius.

Corey (DM):

All right, so Blazer is now knocked out. You whispered a sweet something into his ear.

Corey (DM):

Sweet nothing, sir.

Corey (DM):

The minis are gone.

Corey (DM):

The dads are like cheering. You hear the, the magistrate Lord Floof,.

Nick (E'Louie):

He's like, well, I guess law is the law. They have successfully defended themselves against prosecution. So as the law stands, you are free to go.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

And you hear, you hear the. Oh, it actually says. Says.

Nick (E'Louie):

He says, but except the ones wearing the ends on their shoes. They are holding contraband as we have found their plans to mow more of this land.

Corey (DM):

But they, the, the Four Dads come up to you as Tobacis are starting to, you know, make their way up to the arena to grab them. They come up to you, they're like,.

Corey (DM):

Guys, guys, come on, come on. We, we can fight this. We can get out of this. All right, like, let's make a run for it. Okay, let's do it.

Corey (DM):

Ready?

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

On the count of three, if you're just.

Nick (E'Louie):

Wait a minute. We'll see what we can do to get you out, because I think there's too many.

Corey (DM):

You're with us. We got this. You're with us.

Nathan (Stump):

It's part of the game.

Corey (DM):

Of course we're with you, but take.

Nick (E'Louie):

On the entire arena? I don't know. This is not a good time to do that.

Nathan (Stump):

It's okay. Stump will spin really fast. No, everything will be.

Corey (DM):

No, no, no, we're not gonna do that. Now, you lads go quiet.

Corey (DM):

The Tabaxis show up. He's like.

Corey (DM):

Like, are we not doing this or what?

Corey (DM):

The backs. He's finally making their way up to the platform.

Corey (DM):

He's like, right, we have to all do this together. We got, like, three seconds.

Corey (DM):

What are we doing?

Lauren (EZ):

What? I just kind of. I stand with my hands on my hip, and I'm looking.

Corey (DM):

Did you see that bird? And then I'm like, ah, The Tabaxis grab the mowing dads.

Corey (DM):

And like, no, no, tell them. Tell them we're not gonna do anything.

Nick (E'Louie):

Right?

Corey (DM):

Right, guys?

Corey (DM):

We're not doing anything. Tell them.

Corey (DM):

Tell them. Him and the Tabaxis are like, if.

Corey (DM):

You have anything to do with this, you need to come clean. Are they guilty or not?

Corey (DM):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

And the dads are like, no, no,.

Corey (DM):

We didn't do anything. Right? Like, right, we're not doing anything.

Nick (E'Louie):

So he says, go quietly, lads. We haven't forgotten about you.

Corey (DM):

And he winks at him, and Stump.

Nathan (Stump):

Says, these are good guys. They never do anything.

Corey (DM):

I say, do the tobacco to the.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah. I'm telling the Tabaxi because Stump legitimately,.

Nathan (Stump):

Is like, they're very nice.

Lauren (EZ):

What do I say? I'm kind of tempted to say, I don't know them like, but, dang.

Corey (DM):

So we have one who said, go quietly. We won't forget you. And one's like, no, they didn't do anything wrong. And then.

Lauren (EZ):

And then I. Okay, how. I'm just gonna continue to act like I don't hear them and face towards the crowd. You're, like,.

Corey (DM):

Super awkwardly just turning around.

Lauren (EZ):

You're like, no, I was already turned around.

Corey (DM):

Okay?

Lauren (EZ):

I'm just soaking in the victory.

Corey (DM):

Like, it at her hands, and.

Lauren (EZ):

And I'm just, like, getting a whiff. I'm, like, doing the gesture of getting a whiff, you know, because of my victory. Like, art.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so you kind of turn you're just like. And the dads are like, you, you.

Corey (DM):

Could have got us out of this. You. You could have got us out of this. You're free to go. Magistrate says you've paid your dues.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump have question bothering Stump.

Corey (DM):

What?

Nathan (Stump):

But when Stump ask you guys stuff, sometimes you get mad. So promise.

Lauren (EZ):

Stop.

Corey (DM):

He's a little slow.

Corey (DM):

If you just bear with him.

Nathan (Stump):

Lads, please don't get mad.

Corey (DM):

Hurry up, we got things to do.

Nathan (Stump):

Do you have a litter box?

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, it's time for us to go.

Corey (DM):

We have to get out of here right now. Sorry.

Corey (DM):

That would be be smart.

Lauren (EZ):

I ask, where are the dads? Where the dads go?

Corey (DM):

They're being shipped away. Like, oh, you're like asking. You were like, where'd the dads go? Yeah, they're putting up a fight. They are like, I mean they were.

They searched and caught more contraband and they were all wearing the. The end shoes. That's kind of giving them away. Luckily you all aren't wearing those.

So now basically you don't know if in the moming dad's eyes, you just gave them up up and refused to help. So there may be something there, you're not sure. But you seem to have played it safe with the magistrate. Like, no, no, we don't know them.

So that's kind of the path you all have decided to take from here.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump did say, you know, they're good guys, but he also didn't try to physically stop them.

Corey (DM):

That's true.

Corey (DM):

But yes, that feels like it was like we. Yeah, right now is not the time, but we will remember you.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah, it was. It wasn't enough for them.

Corey (DM):

Well, Easy was totally occup occupied by something else.

Lauren (EZ):

I was getting a taste of fame and I liked it.

Nathan (Stump):

It's so perfect.

Corey (DM):

Taste of fame.

Corey (DM):

We look back at Easy and she's got the two hand fisted going like.

Nathan (Stump):

She's doing the waving the hand and then listening, waving and listening out, the.

Lauren (EZ):

Other ear flexing and my hair is.

Corey (DM):

Blowing in the wind, doing the raise the crowd noise.

Lauren (EZ):

But I should know better because that's how I died. I was. Was gloating, choking. Should know better. But you know, old habits die hard.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so basically at now as the dads have been taken away, they're being taken to supposedly the prison here in Rumsfield. And so you don't know necessarily what's happened with what else of their plan.

You don't know if it's falling apart, if they decided to start mowing or what's going on in the Other places. But apparently their plan has been broken up, so. And now you are taken before the magistrate as he is like, I hereby.

Nick (E'Louie):

Pardon you from your crimes. Be careful who you associate yourself with. And with that being said, don't ever step foot in Rumsfield again.

You are hereby banished for a minimum of three weeks.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, three weeks since.

Corey (DM):

Oh, for three weeks.

Nick (E'Louie):

Three weeks. We do not want you causing trouble.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait.

Nick (E'Louie):

In Rumsfield.

Nathan (Stump):

How long is three weeks in cat? Years.

Nick (E'Louie):

Get them out of here.

Lauren (EZ):

And I say will poop.

Corey (DM):

And so they began to like usher you out. Are. Are you going along with like.

Nathan (Stump):

I'm complying. This is crazy.

Corey (DM):

Okay, as you like. Get out of Rumsfield. They throw your weapons at you all. You hear the, the honking of your bicycle. As they throw the bicycle.

You see them bringing out your Shetland pony and your horse and they're like, yes. And they're like take all of this.

Corey (DM):

Get out of here.

Nick (E'Louie):

Go.

Corey (DM):

And you see some. A gnome run up really quick and he like sketches really fast on a like parchment and like gets your pictures like super fast.

And he's like like new, new stay out signs.

Nathan (Stump):

You have copy for Stump? No.

Corey (DM):

Oh, and he's like jitters back through at the inside. And the guards are just watching you all as you I'm assuming, heading back out towards Tum Tumville the way you came. Is that where you want to head?

Lauren (EZ):

I really just want to find Krause and just sock him one. That's what I mean. He's really.

Corey (DM):

Well, you do know he lives in Tumbill, right?

Corey (DM):

We know where his house houses.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

Lauren (EZ):

True.

Nathan (Stump):

We had a plan. Oh, it was to from here to go to the volcano.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, quest.

Corey (DM):

Well, to go see.

Nathan (Stump):

To go see Finch first.

Corey (DM):

So you. The. The DMV for Rumsfield is right outside the town because it's not in the town.

So you could technically if you want to go straight to the DMV from Rumsfield, it is I'm gonna say because you all went like 7ish in the morning, remember it was super early.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So I will say you're at about 10am right now. That took about three hours all that. So you had have one hour left of your 24 hour ticket.

So yes, the DMV is not too far away if that is what you all like to do. So yes, you do need to go to the. Take the Fast Travel to Verdant Grove to meet Finch. You have about an hour left on your ticket for Fast Travel.

So it will work out if that's what you want to do. Or you can go back to Tville. What is everyone's decision?

Nathan (Stump):

Stump says, guys, hop on Stumps bike.

Nick (E'Louie):

Why not? Will you give me a pump?

Nathan (Stump):

Of course.

Lauren (EZ):

I would love nothing more.

Nathan (Stump):

Get in the basket.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. Oh.

Corey (DM):

Jumps on the back and. And tries to hold Stump shoulders but they're too tall.

Nathan (Stump):

And Stump heads to the DMV and.

Corey (DM):

You're like still holding on to your horses like lead.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh yeah.

Corey (DM):

So they're like going with you but you're on the bike.

Corey (DM):

I've got one hand on stumps love handles holding the lead to the. All the horses behind us that are running.

Nathan (Stump):

Perfect.

Corey (DM):

All right.

Corey (DM):

So yes, you make your way to the DMV on the bike, but you got the horse and the Shetland pony behind you. Also being led with Sebastian. You see like Stump is like starting to like really break out into sweat.

Nathan (Stump):

Cuz falling too, right?

Corey (DM):

Yes.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Petunia is falling. Oh yeah. Cuz you have the donkey as well. Yeah. Petunia is also following. So he's three falling.

Everyone's looking at you like, why aren't you just riding? Just ride the horse. Ride the horse and the donkey or the sh. Pony. We're bans from this place.

Eventually you get to Rumfield's DMV and surprisingly there's like a post outside to like tie up your horses. And there's like a bike rack.

Nick (E'Louie):

Correct.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, yeah, exactly. It's a place to like. And it says like park here. And so yeah, you make your way inside the dmv. They all look exactly the same inside.

They're like the, the pure silver buildings inside. Just like a round room with desks and a back door that leads up.

Corey (DM):

You.

Corey (DM):

You've kind of like, we got this. We know what to do. You make your way through the back. You just show, you know, you show them your ticket. They let the.

The axioms let you through through. You get up to the corridors, you look at all the different signage and you see one that says back to the verdant greens.

And you know that's where you got to go to get to the verdant grove.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So you're like, all right, perfect. You go that way. Same thing. You all get loaded in.

Nathan (Stump):

Stump hate these dudes.

Corey (DM):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

You pull the lever, buddy.

Corey (DM):

Water begins to fill it up. I hold your hand, you hear the whooshing from the engine. Then we whoosh as it goes. Same thing. Super speed.

You're looking out the windows, things are going by. This one seems to be a little bit Faster than the other ones. I don't know if just the, the air holding in this one is better.

The vacuum seal is better here. The adrenaline.

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah, that's true too.

Corey (DM):

You could be adrenaline eventually. Yeah, same thing.

Corey (DM):

Like, it's amazing how fast these things travel. Like, you should not get there in.

Corey (DM):

The amount of time that you do do. It's like if this takes me days and I'm getting there in like less than an hour. There is something crazy about this.

Eventually you get to the virgin green, right? And you know, you have to get to the written grove because that is where he told you to meet. That's you. Just a bit of a hike.

Nathan (Stump):

Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So we'll say you're making that hike. You're talking about maybe what is going on. You talk, you know, reminiscing about the battle you just had and you, you're doing all that stuff.

Eventually you get to the verdant grove.

Nick (E'Louie):

Grove.

Corey (DM):

It is a area in this region that is just surrounded by trees, like very tightly packed in. Not too many people come here because there's just really nothing around.

You make your way through the trees and you find this like, opening in this grove. And when you get in there, you see this nervous little person just kind.

Corey (DM):

Of, you know, shaking his arms and just like scratching, looking around. He's like, oh. Oh my goodness, you made it. I didn't know if you all were actually gonna come.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, you see, Finch actually is like nervous at first, but kind of embraces it.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, he might. He my buddy.

Corey (DM):

Yeah, he actually kind of embrace me.

Corey (DM):

Lad. How are you?

Corey (DM):

Oh, it's, I, I. Interesting. Let's put that with things are kind of interesting. I, I can't really explain what's going on, but look. So you, you decoded my message.

Corey (DM):

Obviously you're here.

Corey (DM):

I'm so glad. I was so worried you wouldn't be.

Corey (DM):

Able to do it.

Corey (DM):

Okay, I, I looked around first. I, I scoured this place. I don't think anyone's here to listen, but okay, I don't have much time. I, I gotta get back to work.

I don't want to seem too out of place.

Nick (E'Louie):

Trying to tell us lad.

Corey (DM):

Yes. But for I, I requested a two hour lunch. And so that's why, you know, I've got some time. Okay, let's just listen.

I know I told you before you left that, you know, just joking, no one's watching you.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes, very funny.

Corey (DM):

But I think someone actually is.

Nathan (Stump):

What?

Corey (DM):

Yes, I think someone actually is. I found documents in the system that I was sorting out for the anomalies. You know, because this is weird. We never had anomalies before.

And I found that there was already files on you. You of your past, memories of your families. It was all there.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's strange.

Corey (DM):

No one has files. So in Zendaya, we give you identities. We make up your identities.

Nathan (Stump):

You're saying we even more famous than you thought?

Lauren (EZ):

Even.

Corey (DM):

I guess. I don't know.

Nathan (Stump):

And this sounds good.

Corey (DM):

Okay, so here's all the other another crazy thing. Like, I found these files on you, and I think someone is manipulating them somehow. But also all of our new process servers.

No one's become process servers that fast. You have to work your way through the ranks.

You're giving a base level identity, but all the ones that came in with you were given straight to process servers. That never happens. Something is going on.

Nick (E'Louie):

So strange is happening.

Corey (DM):

I followed a trail.

Lauren (EZ):

Okay?

Corey (DM):

Always follow the money, they say.

Corey (DM):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

So I follow this trail. I was able to decode some of the programming in this world that the demigods made.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

I was able to debug some of it. And okay, here's what I found out after I decoded the process servers were all given fragments of their old lives. That's not supposed to happen.

Corey (DM):

You're only supposed to get new identities.

Corey (DM):

But you all came with fragments. But whoever programmed their identities programmed their old. Some of their old memories and fragments.

Now, they were only uploaded with two fragments. And this is where it gets crazy. The two fragments that these processes servers were uploaded with were how they died and who killed them.

Nick (E'Louie):

Oh, no.

Lauren (EZ):

Welp.

Corey (DM):

And I think you know where I'm going with this.

Nathan (Stump):

Yes.

Nathan (Stump):

There was this guy named Blazer, remember? Yeah.

Corey (DM):

Blazer was one of our process service.

Nick (E'Louie):

Are you trying to tell a story or we're trying to see what?

Nathan (Stump):

I'm just saying. You're. This happened.

Lauren (EZ):

Who's. Who's responsible?

Corey (DM):

I don't know. I think our boss's boss's boss is responsible. I don't know. There is a signature on all of the files.

Corey (DM):

That's pros.

Corey (DM):

It's the standard signature for our like, higher up. It's te.

Corey (DM):

That is our.

Corey (DM):

Our boss's initials.

Corey (DM):

Like our boss's boss's boss's boss.

Corey (DM):

So we don't question if anything signed.

Corey (DM):

Off with TE we leave it.

Corey (DM):

Now, maybe.

Lauren (EZ):

I think the initials.

Corey (DM):

Yes, now, in your files.

Nathan (Stump):

Hold on.

Corey (DM):

Now, in your files, there are notes that say in preparation, standby is what your files say. Now, I don't know what's going on, but someone I Think higher.

Some higher up has uploaded these new process servers with the memories of you all murdering them. And something in your file says in preparation. And I don't know what that means, but it's telling others to stand by.

And the process servers now have access to your account. So now, here's the thing I think you all should. It's probably best to stay incognito. Maybe stay within the system, keep working to become clerks.

Because I can help keep an eye on things if you stay in the system.

Lauren (EZ):

Yes, sir.

Corey (DM):

Look, I don't like rule breakers. I don't like someone coming in and changing things. And I don't think it's fair to you all. That's why I want to help you.

I don't think it's fair to you that the rules are being broken and you're being targeted.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's very kind.

Lauren (EZ):

You're freaking awesome, man.

Nick (E'Louie):

Well, hold on just a second. I'm a bit old. Some several hundred years. Oh, you're saying that we are being watched?

That some things have been mishandled in the processing and that they have given the fragments of their. Their memory. Only the ones that we killed? Yes.

Corey (DM):

And the only memories that they have been uploaded, apart from their new made up identities, is how they died and who killed them.

Nick (E'Louie):

That's very unfortunate for us indeed.

Corey (DM):

And they were all given the same names from their past life.

Nick (E'Louie):

And they're saying that we don't know who exactly is doing these.

Lauren (EZ):

This.

Nick (E'Louie):

This malevolence toward us.

Lauren (EZ):

Well, that's for us to find out.

Nick (E'Louie):

Their initials are T.E.

Corey (DM):

But I might answer your question from earlier. You're like, how does he know?

Lauren (EZ):

Yeah. And I say thank you, Finch, for being on our side.

Corey (DM):

And first, like, you're welcome.

Nathan (Stump):

You are the best, Finch.

Lauren (EZ):

Truly.

Corey (DM):

I just don't, like. I'm sorry, I can't.

Corey (DM):

I'm.

Corey (DM):

I'm a high level DMV employee.

Corey (DM):

I can't leave.

Corey (DM):

I can't make things seem suspicious. And I've been doing this for a long time. And I don't think it's fair that people get pick. Picked on, that people get, you know, sorted out.

And things need to be fair across.

Corey (DM):

The board for everyone.

Corey (DM):

We have rules for a reason.

Corey (DM):

And if this is happening to you, it's not fair.

Corey (DM):

And I cannot stand by and let that happen.

Corey (DM):

And he's like, very nervously, like, looking around though, while he's saying this. Like he's trying to be brave, but he's also like, cowering a little bit.

Corey (DM):

He's like, look, I Have to get back. But I had to let you know this, and we had to meet somewhere. And I know there's no, like, no ears, cameras, things around here, so. Yes, just.

Corey (DM):

Please, just.

Corey (DM):

I know you have another quest.

Nathan (Stump):

Just.

Corey (DM):

You can go do that if you want.

Corey (DM):

I don't care. But just.

Corey (DM):

I think you need to stay within the system. Keep being the Nomolies. And yes, I saw the name that you all picked. Funny choice.

Corey (DM):

I liked it. I laughed.

Nathan (Stump):

Good.

Corey (DM):

I have to get back to work.

Corey (DM):

I can't make things look out of place, so. You have a home. You can stay there if you don't feel comfortable. You're more than welcome to work, get some money, go buy your own home.

That's just your starter home. Do what you need to do, but check in from time to time, please, and just let me know you're still in the system.

Corey (DM):

And I can keep a track of.

Corey (DM):

What they update your files with. And I can.

Corey (DM):

Can figure out a way.

Corey (DM):

And he's like, looking around.

Corey (DM):

He's like, here. And Eloi, you're closest. He hands you this stone.

Nick (E'Louie):

Okay? Eloi reaches out and takes it.

Corey (DM):

Perfect. He's like. And he pulls out another.

Corey (DM):

He says, anything happens, you just tap this three times, say my name, and we can communicate.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh, you.

Corey (DM):

It's a speaking stone.

Lauren (EZ):

Are the best.

Nick (E'Louie):

You're kind. Best in the West. Your kindness will not be forgotten. To Angel. Thank you very much.

Corey (DM):

Absolutely. I have to go now.

Nathan (Stump):

Wait, Finch, before you go. What? One for the road.

Nathan (Stump):

And he gives him a kiss on the forehead.

Lauren (EZ):

Oh.

Corey (DM):

He blushes.

Corey (DM):

And he's like, just stop. You're making me like you all too much.

Corey (DM):

And then he turns and takes off back towards the dmv. You find yourselves now in the middle of this grove with new information. You now have a talking stone that you were able to communicate with.

Corey (DM):

Finch.

Corey (DM):

Tap three times, say his name. It sends a communication and out to him. As you all are now sitting and discussing everything that has happened.

Corey (DM):

Right.

Corey (DM):

You are sitting in this grove, discussing what has happened. The stone, what this means with the process servers. And you hear a branch snap behind you. As you turn around, you see this.

Corey (DM):

Older woman that you recognize from the.

Corey (DM):

Field from not too long ago.

Nathan (Stump):

It is your grandmother.

Corey (DM):

She looks at you all and says, that silly boy.

Corey (DM):

I've been watching him since I got here.

Nick (E'Louie):

Hello, Eloi.

Corey (DM):

It's so nice to see you. It's so nice to have this memory back. Oh, I cannot tell you how much I so glad I have this memory back. And it's so Good to see you.

Nathan (Stump):

This is so sweet.

Corey (DM):

Eloise, I just have to say I've missed you.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, this is great.

Corey (DM):

And not in the way, I think.

Corey (DM):

Can everyone make a dexterity savings?

Corey (DM):

Oh, my gosh. Oh, sorry.

Corey (DM):

Not dexterity. Wisdom saving throw. Thank you. Wisdom saving throw.

Nathan (Stump):

Oh, not wisdom.

Lauren (EZ):

Are you. Are you sure?

Corey (DM):

Surely.

Corey (DM):

I got a dirty 20, by the way.

Corey (DM):

Did you really?

Corey (DM):

Yeah. 18. Oh, wow.

Lauren (EZ):

Wow. Okay.

Corey (DM):

My wisdom's there a little bit.

Nathan (Stump):

Nice.

Lauren (EZ):

I rolled a six.

Corey (DM):

Okay. Thank you.

Lauren (EZ):

That's all I need with the added.

Corey (DM):

So. Yeah.

Corey (DM):

So Dirty 26 is 13 okay?

Corey (DM):

Yep.

Corey (DM):

And Elu is.

Corey (DM):

Is scared, but he's starting to gain a little bit of resolve in his eyes as he's realizing that someone is pulling the strings and realizing all the dirty. He's still terrified.

Corey (DM):

Absolutely. So what I will say is, as she had said that last word. You didn't.

You can't you see, with that 20, you kind of noticed that she was like, waving her fingers behind her back. And all of you start to feel just something in your mind. And just like you get. Starting to get this crazy headache so easy and stuff.

It's just hurting. You're not sure exactly what's going on. And eventually it get. The pain gets so bad, you. You pass out.

Nick (E'Louie):

No.

Lauren (EZ):

On. Would you consider this being frightened?

Corey (DM):

Nope.

Lauren (EZ):

Why is it never that you.

Corey (DM):

You pass out on the ground? Elie, I will say with that dirty 20, you're able to hold on longer with this.

So I will give you an opportunity before you pass out, because this was a very, very high thing, like very powerful. So I will say you will have an opportunity to either say or do something. I mean, you don't have a whole. Your. Your vision starting to go.

So I will allow you to get to say something or do something simple if you'd like, before you pass out.

Corey (DM):

Okay.

Corey (DM):

It is now just you and her in this group.

Corey (DM):

So Elui looks at her and says,.

Nick (E'Louie):

I know you, and I know what you're capable of. And you'll not take advantage of me and my friends. You will be defeated again.

Corey (DM):

As you pass out on the floor and the three of you begin to fall into a deep sleep. The last you remember is Malnag, as we now know Malnag's face, who she goes by Maleficent. Her face, her words. And as you all begin to.

To wake up, you find yourselves in the same grove.

Corey (DM):

But you starting to feel very weird,.

Corey (DM):

Like things are starting to happen. That's getting some brain fog. Easy as you wake up. You.

You're just you're holding your head, you're looking around, you notice that you're normally pretty low to the ground. Whenever you do things, as you stand,.

Corey (DM):

Stand up, you're like, what is going on with my hands?

Corey (DM):

Why am I so tall? As you find yourself in Stump's body.

Nathan (Stump):

I was not prepared for this.

Corey (DM):

Stump, as you wake up, you find yourself like, looking around and you're just.

Corey (DM):

Like, oh,.

Corey (DM):

Like, what is is this beard strapped around me? Like, why did I have all this long hair?

Corey (DM):

As you find yourself in the body of Eloi. Oh, goodness, Eloise.

Nathan (Stump):

What happened to Stump?

Nathan (Stump):

Stump feel different.

Nathan (Stump):

Elo.

Corey (DM):

As you wake up, you find yourself as clunky. You're like.

Lauren (EZ):

And gassy.

Corey (DM):

They come and have out. You're just like. And you find yourself covered in heavy armor. You got a large sword by your side.

You're about the same height, though, you know, just give or take a little bit. You look around, you see Stump standing up, and you see Eloise standing up. And now you find yourself within the body of Easy as Malag has switched.

Corey (DM):

I don't know what's happened to me. And he puts his hands on his head and he's like, oh, my gosh, I have hair. I have hair. I have hair on my head.

Corey (DM):

And I'm like, you look good.

Nathan (Stump):

What a lovely harsh.

Corey (DM):

What's happening?

Nathan (Stump):

What happened to our hearts?

Corey (DM):

This is very un. This is weird.

Corey (DM):
